Surviving Afloat Empty
PostSubject: Surviving Afloat   Surviving Afloat EmptyFri Jul 05, 2013 12:57 am

This journal was recovered by a raiding party.

Day 1

I've decided to go sail into the ocean. Why? Well, it is because of an urge... An irresistible urge to go out to sea. Anyways, I'm going to write down any major events that happen in this journal. I'm on a medium-sized sailboat with a month's worth of supplies. I plan on going home in two weeks, but you never know what'll happen.

Alright, so I've been feeling a lot of shaking on the boat. I don't know what's wrong but whatever it is... it is very, very bad. Well, I'm going to sleep now. It's almost night... Oh yeah, decided to fish. Caught about two small fish. I'm quite proud of my work!

Day 2

Apparently a big storm's coming in. I think it is time to go head back home, but something in my brain is telling me to stay out at sea because something bad will happen on land. My gut's been right enough times about serious things like that, so I'll trust it. Oops, forgot the 'R'. Anyways, actually, my gut has saved me a lot of times. Like, when the World Trade Center got hit by two airplanes, my gut was like "Hey, you need to get out of there!" I'm like 'Nah, I have to work!". Then, I look outside of my office to see an airplane just flying at the building. So, I obviously hightailed it out of there. I got questioned by some police about how I knew, but I told them and they believed me (it was the truth, they obviously did). I don't know why I'm writing about this... Maybe to give this journal to one of my grandchildren once my son haves them? Well, that's all the writing I'm doing for now.

Woah! A lot of rain is pouring down. Also, a thunderbolt hit about 20 feet away from the ship. That was close. Well, I'm going to try to sleep now.

Day 3

Well, this is bad. Bad, bad, bad. A big wave's coming up on the horizon and the boat is shakier than a cat s---ting peach seeds. That's something my dad always used to say until he died of a combination of a hospital overdosing him on medicine and old age.

I hope this isn't the end of my trip. It is the middle of the day (I can tell from a digital clock) and the sun isn't even able to be seen because of the clouds.

Something is going on. A... tsunami? Yes, a tsunami is coming at the mainland. I should be out of its way. I'm going to bed, either way. I'll see what happens in the morning.

Day 4

I survived half the week. That's good, of course. I just hope the boat doesn't flip upside down from the passing tsunami that is only about approximately 300 yards from me. Well, that's my guess, anyway. When you're a 60 year-old man, your vision isn't really the best.

The tsunami passed me. My boat almost fell over, so I'm having to push/pull everything back into their original positions. Once that's done, I'm going to sleep.
