Amanda, & Daniel Blackmore.

For a moment, Amanda was unsure of who she should really be fighting. The toad trying to eat them, or this psycho-b*tch about to burn the restaurant down. Leila seems to be a completely different person on the battlefield. Either way, Amanda needed to come up with another strategy to kill the Terror. Because the knife tactic didn't seem to be working, and the place was both burning down, and filling the place with smoke. It'd be best if they pull out of the place and take the fight outside. She wasn't too concerned about everyone else because they were on their own. Amanda only looking out for Daniel, and if anyone gets killed then so be it. It definitely won't be Amanda or Daniel here. Everyone else was barely doing anything to it, save for Leila. Since the Terror was going for them, that put it right where she wanted it.

"On my cue, shoot all that darkness straight ahead." She spoke to her younger brother, with her plan. Amanda quickly gathered together all the metal she was manipulating, turning it all into a metallic paste. She quickly molded as much of the metal as possible into two, six-foot long, steel javelins. With a serrated tip. She had a little bit of metal left, so she quickly molded the leftover metal into a steel axe, two feet in both length and width. She pulled back her weapons behind her; to build proper momentum when she launches them. "Now, Daniel!" Amanda shouted, her voice booming through the chaos.

That was when Daniel used all the darkness he had and fired off an immense shock-wave of darkness ahead. Which was in the direction of the terror. The shock-wave had enough force to send cars flying, so unless the Terror is heavy as hell, or firmly attaches itself on the ground, it'll be sent away. The deathly gas it was emitting was pushed away. Giving Amanda a few moments of precious time to launch her offensive.

After the shockwave of darkness, Amanda raised the temperature of both her spears, and the axe, to the point where they were glowing orange. They quickly started to spin fast as Amanda could make them. Then they were sent at the Terror at high speeds, aimed for it's center of mass. They would strike with enough force to dismember a human limb. Of course, we're talking about a toad monster, something differing from such a beast in terms of biology. Even if they didn't hit, or do anything; Amanda could just call them back and come up with a different strategy. If it came down to it, she was going to try to weigh it down, cut and run.

With her weapons flying at the Terror at high speeds, Amanda grabbed Daniel by the arm with a death grip, and ran out the door outside. Barely escaping the smoke (They've inhaled a small amount of it). It'd be easier to deal with the Terror's smoke outdoors.

Ray Judah Drager, & Dexter 'Rush' Chertok.

Spoiler:

Coming in after Joshua's group were the duo of Ray Drager, and Dexter Chertok (Better known as Rush), they causally stepped on to the Mako. Not bad. This boat seemed slightly enjoyable, and a little uplifting. However, vigilant as always, Ray kept his eyes open. He gave everyone a good look. Before disregarding them. He knew that such events like this would be a breeding pool for both ego-stroking and crime. There'd be all sorts of pick pockets running about, trying to nab a wallet while he's not looking. However, Ray wasn't too concerned with these people. They were just kids and other nobodies out to look for a good time.

With a simple nod; both Ray and Rush split off from each other. With Rush being less concerned about the people here, and more concerned about what he could dismantle. He had an innate connection to all technology around him. From the phones in everyone's pockets, to the boat-engine underneath them. Perhaps that wouldn't be too good of an idea, right now. Rush was interested in tech, but not stupid. He'll wait for a distraction before he nabs something... Like one of the speakers, or another non-essential piece of equipment. Rush walked around, giving everything electronic an eye, before turning his attention to the next thing. He didn't feel the explicit need to go out of his way and speak with anyone here. Because he was memorizing where everything is. Noting everything about them, including any malfunctions in them.

Both of them were in the back of the boat with the others. Ray sat down on chair at the very back of the boat and crossed his right leg over his left one. He relaxed, pointing his face at the sky for a few seconds. It felt good from time to time, usually Ray's so tense and ready for trouble. Right people are having fun, enjoying themselves. Something like a shootout just seemed so unlikely. Though, he's still expecting something to go wrong. He did keep one eye on Rush though. While he was relaxed; he was still on job. And his job is protecting Rush.

Sage Lucas Pimm.

Leaning on the rail's of the Mako was the androgynous Sage Pimm. Long bright blonde hair hanging off it's head and shoulders pressed against the rails. Sage wore a less than spectacular, all-grey, outfit. It wore a light-grey hoodie, with the hood down, and it's hair hanging down over the hood. This hoodie was long-sleeved, covering up much of Sage's limbs, as it cold out. On it's hands Sage wore grey gloves. It wore grey sweat pants and white NIKE sneakers. In it's hand was a glass of water, since Sage was far too young to drink, nor did it had any initial interest to. It just watched the boats float around in the distance. Light amounts of snow dropped down on Sage, but when they did; they evaporated into steam. Making a quiet sizzling sound, until it disappeared. Merely because Sage's body heat is higher than average. Because of this; it stayed away from everyone else. Just so that they don't notice it. It saw two lovers, not too much younger than itself, not that far away. For a moment, Sage considered walking over, only to choose not to. Best not to interrupt them. Sage took a sip of water, eyes peering at the water for a second. It caught eye of something glimmering under the water, like a fish... Odd. Since there's no animals in Aurum city because of the pollution. Sage's eyes were set alight with curiosity. As it started looking around in the water, trying to find something like it again.

Veronica Mia Valos.

Right before the Mako started moving, Veronica (and presumably Bre) got on the Mako at high speeds. With the Valos boat taking off before the two could even get on it, they had to compensate. She was slightly irritated that she was left behind. Only to be forced to compensate - On such a boat. However, Veronica is someone who is good at making due. Veronica took a few steps forward, and looked around. Her eye-sight was enhanced drastically. Allowing her to see at super-human levels. She quickly looked at every last face in the room with a bit of contempt. Veronica spoke to Bre, during her examination, "Sorry about the change of plans, dear..." Veronica said to Bre. "... Sometimes my family can be quite... Impudent. The best we can do is find a corner and hope that everyone believes we are speaking about some form of entertainment."

((In hindsight, I thought it'd be better if Veronica and Bre are with the main group))

Bre was, in fact, amused at the situation. She was looking around the ship, a small smile tugging at her lips. "It's fine," she said, turning to smile at Veronica. She fiddled with her sunglasses before closing her eyes and taking them off to clean them with her jacket. She placed them back over her eyes before opening them again. She pointed near the railing, in an area no one was around. "Could we talk over there? I would like to look around while we talk. If it's okay with you, I mean." Though it might not help much looking at the scenery, considering with every word that comes out of Veronica's mouth Bre would feel the need to look her directly in the eyes. Which sucked. But hey- it helps in sticky situations... That she was never in. ((bell rung. gtg))

Selena and Vance

Selena went straight for the alcohol, she downed a glass of spiked punch before several shots of vodka. Vance stuck with a single cup of punch, he just wanted to loosen up a little. If he drank like his friend he'd be wasted. He'd given up trying to out drink Selena years ago. After all those drinks she wasn't even tipsy. He always wondered whether she some kind disorder or deficiency, maybe she had a gift like his. That'd explain a lot, but he had never been able to catch her doing something outrageous. Well nothing enough to confirm she was a mutant.

"Hey Vance, want some eggnog?" He was snapped back to the present and forgot to ask about it's contents. "Sure, thanks." As he brought the drink to his lips he caught the unmistakable scent of rum. Too late to back out now. Selena was always trying to get her friends tipsy, so she could mess with them. Vance really hoped his tolerance had gone up since the last time he let his guard down.

"Chug chug chug!" Chanted Selena. "C'mon, so we can head to the dance floor." Vance gave her a stern look. She'd dance near him for maybe five minutes, then head over to anyone who was showing serious moves. Which left him to find drunkenly find a new partner. Last time he made a fool of himself and still hadn't quite gotten over it. Vance didn't resist though, this was a party not a bar. He found himself wishing that he didn't get that first drink, should have know that Selena would find some way to push him farther than he cared to go.

Cassandra

An elegantly dressed woman sampled red wine at a secluded table near the balcony. She normally had no interest in events like this, but it's where her senses guided her. Almost a compulsion to attend, she had experienced this affect before and believed it was linked to gatherings of her kind. She was very attune with her environment and even now she knew everything that was going on all the way across the deck. Something else caught her attention though, and she lowered her glass mid sip.

There was something in the water, and it was watching the ship. It must also be mutated, because it was guided here in the same way she had been. Just what I need right now. Were this on land she'd just take off, on the boat she was vulnerable. "Curse my instincts." She spat. With any luck the others would be able to deal with it without her intervention. Even if she had to help out, none would be the wiser.

There was another aware of the situation, she couldn't tell if it was a guy or girl. She got up and situated herself with the stranger between herself and the water. The likelihood of the creature just hanging out in the water was slim, her powers told her it was big, and that it was hungry. Now Cassandra might have been able to send it off, but that'd only be temporary. Another reason not to was despite the danger, this was a good opportunity to learn about her competition.

Terror dropped its shoulder close down to the floor of the restaurant when it saw the darkness shockwave coming, and resisted as much as he could against the blast. The blast was too strong, however, and Terror was sent flying ten feet backwards, where it crashed into a row of booths, laying on its back. Before Terror could flip itself over, the two burning spears embedded themselves in Terror's belly. It cried out in agony as the white hot spears cooked its organs from the inside. Realizing it was near death, Terror began to breathe massive volumes of smoke out of its mouth and nose, filling the entire restaurant with smoke to the point where it was impossible to see. Eli came running out of the kitchen, a white rag over his mouth and nose and a bulk-sized carton of cooking oils in his left hand.

"Leila!" he yelled out "Smoke 'em!" Eli threw the carton into the air into the smoke cloud towards Terror and hit the deck, sliding a few feet until he found himself laying under a table. If he remembered correctly, this was usually the part in the movies where there was a big explosion. If Leila could hit that carton through the fog with a close-enough proximity to Terror, that would be the end of the battle.

(Best boss fight music EVER)

As the party on the boats carried on, Rachael got more and more drunk. She was soon laying on Joshua's shoulder giggling like a fool, a glass of egg nog limply hanging from her right hand. The parade was beginning, and, as Frank Sinatra played over the loud speakers, the yachts, strung up with holiday lights, began to parade in a line around the harbor. The piers and docks were covered in people watching and taking pictures, some even hanging off of the edges of the classic wooden piers. Rachael whispered something to Joshua as the boat began to move, and the egg nog glass slipped from her hands. Rachael looked down, and screamed in terror. Jutting out of the murky green water was an arm covered in olive green scales, some parts turned brown with pollution. The arm's heavily-clawed hand clutched Rachael's egg nog glass and held it above the water. A second hand jutted from out of the water suddenly and grabbed ahold of the Mako's railing, its claws nicking Rachael's foot. Joshua pulled her back away from the side of the boat as the monster revealed itself fully.

It was a humanoid creature, about six feet tall and covered in murky green scales, just like the arms were. The monster was incredibly ripped, with massive pecks and perfect abs, as well as extremely muscular arms and legs. It's head resembled that of a piranha's, with massive green fish eyes and serrated white teeth that looked sharper than a sword. It had a tail about three feet long that ended with fins covered in poisonous spines. The monster looked around as the boat silenced, and it let out a monstrous baying, like that of a wolf's. Panic broke out on the boat as a pack of the monsters began to climb up onto the boat's deck. There were hundreds of the monsters all over the bay now, boarding sailboats and dragging pedestrians on the piers into feeding frenzies in the water below. In the first thirty seconds, the monsters ate ten people on the piers. Panic broke out as police officers began to blindly fire and the monsters and people crashed into the beasts to prevent them from hurting others. The monsters attacked in frenzies and tore people to pieces in seconds. Josh's eyes lit up red, and his hands became engulfed in flame. Rachael, who was far too drunk to fight, was let go, and she tumbled down the stairs harmlessly. Skip, a tall handsome blonde teenager whose parents owned the boat, grabbed Rachael midair and took her deep into the boat's hull so as to protect her from the monsters. Three people were slaughtered before Josh could even move, and before he could run to get into the hull, the doors closed, locking him out. Outside still, amongst the werefish, were Josh, Rush, Ray, Cassandra, Selena, Vance, Veronica, Sage, Bre, and Raphael, who at the moment the fish appeared flipped down his hood. Josh turned to see a pair of jaws ready to clamp down on his shoulder when a shot of lightning blasted the attacking werefish's head open, courtesy of Raphael.

"Where the Hell have you been?" Josh yelled, throwing a ball of fire at a nearby werefish. The monster stumbled backwards, its skin burning momentarily, and then fell back into the water.

"I've been...busy." Raphael yelled out as he blasted another fish to smithereens with a lightning-bolt. "How do you like your fish cooked?"

"Flame-grilled!" Josh blasted another werefish with fire, and it screamed loudly, its scales frying in the heat. He was almost 100% sure at this point that he had passed out on booze and was now having a lucid dream, which is why he was so calm. There was no way there could actually be werefish climbing onto the boat to eat him. Of course that was impossible! Josh was too drunk at the moment to realize that werefish trying to eat him was about as probable as his powers were, and so were very probable in this instance.

Bre felt chills go down her spine as fish humanoids began climbing onto the boat, destroying the fun, lively setting and changing it to one of danger and chaos. "On second thought... nevermind," Bre said to Veronica, adding to her earlier statement, and stepped farther from the railing. She wanted to run In fear and glanced at the doors- closed. Great. Well, at least now she could use her powers with good excuse.

Bre whipped off her sunglasses then, the scenery seeming brighter with the tinted lenses removed. Sure, she was used to wearing the glasses, but even in a fight Bre couldn't resist admiring the light. "Don't look pr talk to me or I'll look back," Bre warned Veronica. Her admiration of color was short lived as another color became brighter- red. Bre held in a scream as she watched a fish-guy tear one of the ship passengers to shreds. She covered her mouth with one hobo-gloveed hand, shocked. Her expression then turned to rage, however, as she called towards the victim's killer. "Hey, you over-grown fish stick!" Not a good insult, but who thinks they're ever going to insult a fish? It was really comical how the creature looked up at her, knowing who she was referring to. The werefish's and Bre's eyes met, and it froze.

Bre smirked and raised her fist to punch when she became aware of a presence behind her. She spun around just in time. A werefish was frozen in a position that made it quite clear the creature had been only a millisecond away from killing her. She frowned before trying to punch the one she first froze, looking it in the eyes to keep it from unfreezing. Scales aren't fun to punch. Bre pulled back her hand, wincing a bit and switching her eyes between the two frozen beasts. She was surprised to see a metaduo fighting the werefish with flames and lightning. Bre looked around for attackers before closing her eyes. "Hey!" she called to them and pointed at the two beasts. "Can you kill these things I froze?" She turned around to open her eyes.

Amelia watched in horror as the strange fish began to attack the people on the boats. Her eyes were wide and her jaw was clenched under her bandana and scarf. She was standing on the pier, close enough to the water to be in danger. At any other time she would have questioned the strange happenings going on around her, such as the fire and electricity attacks, but was currently running off fear and an instinctual need to survive. Amelia looked around at what she was dealing with. To her the most important thing to do was protect the citizens around her.

The young girl quickly began to move the defenseless people away from the water, back towards the shops and such of the mainland. Many of the people argued with her, stating that they had friends or family on the boats being attacked, or that they didn't trust a kid. It took some gentle persuasion to get some to move to safety. And the ones who absolutely refused to move were the most likely to get eaten.

Amelia then positioned herself between the pier and the path up to the main road. Since the people were now moved it seemed like the next big step would be keeping these fish from getting into town. She wasn't show if they could even survive on land but it was worth the precaution. One of the strange monsters suddenly leapt out of the water, attempting to grab at her ankles.

Panicking slightly, Amelia grabbed the werefish and dug her finger nails into the sides of its head. She was ideally trying to aim for some sort of gill but she wasn't really looking. The creature howled in pain as her fingers easily sunk past its scales, a purple liquid leaking into its body. Amelia wasn't sure if poison could even effect the creatures but since it was her only power it was all she could do. Once she was satisfied she quickly removed her fingers and punted the fish back into the water. Hoping it either was going to die from poison or be too spooked to return.

PostSubject: Re: The Freaks IC. Chapter One: The Stalker in the Shadows   The Freaks IC. Chapter One: The Stalker in the Shadows - Page 3 EmptyTue Nov 26, 2013 7:30 pm

Spoiler:

When the first were-fish jumped on the boat; Veronica, Ray, Rush and Sage quickly dropped what they were doing and looked at the creature in sheer surprise. Since animals like that don't exist (Especially not in Aurum City). When the attacks started; there was only one option:

Fight, or die.

Ray Judah Drager, & Dexter 'Rush' Chertok.

Good thing I didn't get drunk... Ray thinks to himself as more and more of the werefish appeared. The situation wasn't too good. They're on a boat, and fish monsters are launching one hell of an attack. People were getting killed and it was all around chaos. However, Ray was focused on fighting. He quickly jumped out of the chair and stood straight up. A thick, dark-blue aura surrounded him, and he balled his fists. There was one place where he was the most alive; the battlefield. Ray set his sights on one of the nearest were-fish, about to maul a man to death. After letting out a manly battle cry; he seemingly punched the air, straight and strong. The air ripped near the fishman, as a large, dark-blue copy of Ray's arm appeared, transparent and edges glowing the brightest. The fist flew right at the fishman's jaw, and punched with crushing force. There was the loud cracking of bones, which filled the area. The Fishman flew several feet away, unconscious (Or dead, there wasn't time to check). He quickly stood over the man who he saved, and bent down to pull him up, "Get to..." He was about to say safety, but there isn't any safety. "Just get below deck." Ray says before diverting his attention to Rush.

The other combatant was Rush. He was holding still like a statue, only his head moving every now and then to look around. A loud buzzing sound came from him, as seemingly a paper-white electricity started pulsing off his being. He pointed his hand at the Were-fish that came charging at him, making a finger gun. The similar energy that was pulsing off of him formed a orb around his hand. The second the Were-fish got close, he unleashed a powerful laser beam of positrons, point blank. The Were-fish was pushed back as it started shaking uncontrollably - As all that positronic energy was quickly transferred into it's body. While Rush humorously said, "Pew." The Were-fish dropped dead. It's body was overloaded by the positrons.

As Ray may his approach, he leaped unnaturally high up into the air, with assistance of his power. He quickly brought his foot down on the floor of boat. Stomping the ground as he landed. In the not too far distance, a giant blue replica of his foot appeared and quickly crushed the Were-fish. He grabbed on to Rush and a similar blue aura wrapped around his friend. "We gotta go!" Ray says, urgency to leave in his voice. Both he and Rush started floating a few inches in the air.

However, there was something else on Rush's mind. He pushed away from Ray with his shoulder and got out of his grip. The aura faded away as he lightly dropped to the ground. "Innocents on boat. We leave. Likelihood of their death rockets." Rush says, in his usual emotionless and monotone manner of speech. Deep down, he was shaken by what's going on. He just choose that panicking would be the wrong thing to do here - And he knew that leaving now, when they have the power to save lives, would be an even worse choice.

"Alright, if we're going to help everyone, best that we get this boat back to land." Ray says, helping everyone here was an option. Despite his gruff exterior, he's more than willing to lend a helping hand when people need it (But not when they deserve it). Right now is a good time for him to step in. "I don't think my ability can get the entire boat back to shore..." Ray just inserts, looking away at the shore in the distance. They're some ways anyway. This boat weighs several tons, much more than Ray could move without giving himself a brain aneurysm. It'll be best if they just get the boat to shore the old fashion way.

"No need. Can commandeer boat. Get it to shore. Everyone to safety. By myself." Rush says, as his body started buzzing louder and louder. He was building up more energy just by holding still. It'd be best if he fires this off now. He quickly pointed at another Were-fish approaching, and fired off another beam. Killing that Fishman too. "Going to bridge. Can control boat from there. You stay here. Help people on deck. With powers." Rush sprinted off fast as he could. He was making a mad dash for the bridge. Instead of slowly making his way there, to maximize strength. His power requires immobility, so he's really weak right now. So if he by. But that's the risk he was willing to take, that was his dedication. It would take forever for him to slowly make his way there - Going off the sheer number of them. The best he could do is stop and try to build up a charge, or use his other skills than his power.

"You stay safe." Ray says to the departing Rush, blankly. His blue aura was pushing away anything that wasn't Rush, so they don't have to worry about Fish-men interrupting their conversation. Now it was time to Ray to kick some @ss. He saw that there was a large amount of other Metas on board with him. He knew that he'll have to make good use of them, if they're all going to repel the Fish-man attack. Ray floated a few feet up into the air, stretched his arms straight out, and focused hard as he could. Suddenly, all the Fish-men on the same deck as them were repelled towards Ray with an irresistible force. He pulled in as many as he could. Then they all stopped dead in their tracks, like a powerful outside force was holding them still. Finding themselves unable to move. Leaving them perfect targets for the other Meta-humans on the boat. "Hit em' with all you got!" Ray shouts at the top of his lungs, holding the Fish-men in place with all of his concentration. Sweat dripped down from his head, as he was shaking, since he's strained. They better take advantage of this opportunity because Ray can only hold them still for so long.

Worse comes to worse, Ray will have to stop holding them still and fly off. Because if they get free, he'll be surrounded by a large amount of fish-men.

Sage Lucas Pimm.

If it wasn't for the Fish-man attack, Sage definitely would have said something to Cassandra.

There were far more pressing matters at hand. One of the Were-fish leaped out of the water square at Sage. All while it was distracted by the screaming not too far away. Sage instinctively dropped to the ground (Because otherwise, it surely would have been killed) after letting out a yell. As it dropped, it's body-heat spiked and went up by a hundred or so degrees, and it's skin adopted a light-blue glow. The attacking Were-fish climbed up to the deck and bared it's teeth, looking down at Sage. It quickly got on it's behind and crawled backwards using all it's limbs, afraid. While the others may have been warriors, or had determination and fearlessness to fight off these monsters; Sage did not. It was a more peaceful human being. However, it knew it was time to fight, because if it didn't, it would surely be mauled. Just as the Were-fish attacked, a circular shield of burning hot plasma (Which took the appearance of a thick, light-blue gas) surrounded Sage. The heat it gave off burned just about everything nearby (Especially the Were-Fish). However, when the Were-Fish came in contact with the plasma, the Were-fish was badly burned, and by coming in contact with the plasma, radiation and electricity was released. Thus, easily killing the Were-Fish. The plasma dispersed quickly, revealed Sage. Despite having killed the threat, Sage was panicking, still on the ground, breathing in and out heavily. Trying to collect itself.

Veronica Mia Valos.

There was a bit of panic creeping up on Veronica. However, her power allowed her to easily suppress those emotions and keep a cool head. She pushed her glasses up her nose, and looked around with a blank stare. She saw so many new Meta-humans, and they were doing a good job at eliminating the Were-Fish. Unfortunately, because of Veronica's power-set, she wouldn't be too effective at fighting them off at all. Nor did she had any intention to. All she really wanted to do was get the hell off this boat and run for it. However, they were in the middle of the harbor and surrounded by fish monsters that had the terrain advantage. Swimming for it is immediately out of the question. Veronica's sight and hearing got much better, to super-human levels. She could hear all the chaos and talking going on around her. It was hard to ignore. Veronica scanned the area with her super vision. Seeing no easy way to get on to shore. She let out a sigh (Which felt like a gunshot going off in her ear) before reverting her super senses to normal levels.

After Bre had frozen the two Were-fish, Veronica quickly walked over to one and touched it bare handed. She had control over it's sensory receptors, and more importantly, could control what it could feel. She made it feel an overwhelming amount of pain across all of it's pain receptors. A pain like no other. All over their body. Knocking it unconscious. She quickly walked over to the next one and did the same thing. By the time the paralysis wore off, they both fell down, unconscious. Now there was something Veronica wanted to say to Bre, but she hadn't trusted Bre not to accidentally look into her eyes. Which was something that Veronica could correct. Her vision was dulled to the point where she was blind, so she didn't have to worry about getting paralysed. "Darling, it is best that find the quickest way out of here. I can tell now that neither of us are fighters. Leave it to the rest of those knuckle-draggers to handle this. Perhaps we can arrange for one of them to get us out of here."

Amanda Daisy Blackmore.

"Got that f*cker! Ahahahaha!" Amanda said, gleefully. After seeing that her attack on the Terror was successful. The two Blackmores had left the building out of the front door (Like any logical person would do by now) and were standing outside. Amanda knew that the spears and her axe had pierced the terror, and were still inside. Which worked for Amanda quite well. If anyone was going to execute the Terror, it was going to be her. The spears, while inside the Terror, started spinning, drilling their way through the Terror's system. All while Amanda raised the temperatures of the spears even higher. She didn't care if she melted her own spears, there'd be little the chance the terror could survive having molten metal inside of it.

Selena and Vance

Before the two of them reached to dance floor screams and shouts could be heard. Selena was already in action, as if she saw them fishmen coming. Now she felt really bad for offering Vance that drink. "Change of plans, this way!" She said frantically and grabbed his arm. They were now heading for the deck, but two werefish blocked their way. Vance raised his arm and clumsily pointed it at one of them, Selena reacted lightning fast and corrected his aim. A beam of red energy collided with one of them and sent it sprawling into the guard rail. Selena pointed his arm at the other just as vance let off another. Considering that Vance was special like her, she was less worried about what she wa about to do next.

Selena felt sorry for all the people left that would be left on board, but quite frankly her power wouldn't be good for fighting these monsters and Vance was in no shape to either. She slung Vance over her shoulder and then vanished. On the water below a jet stream appeared across the waves and the two of them were back on land. She noticed a girl pressing her fingers into one of the creatures gills and headed in her direction.

Cassandra

Cassandra leaned against the wall casually and watched the stranger fend off a werefish. None of the creatures even seemed to notice her, because they didn't register the woman on their sences. A simple use of her power. However, they definitely noticed a vulnerable target on the deck. They walked right past Cassandra and towards Sage, until something overcame them. The lot of them began to attack one another tearing each other limb from limb in the middle of the deck. The battle didn't last very long, and the wounded victor took a single step towards the railing before shaking all over. It's trembling arms reached for either side of it's head, then with a sickening snap the monster broke it's own neck and slumped to the floor.

A soothing female voice whispered to Sage, like she was crouched beside it. "Get up my dear, you wouldn't want to be caught down like that." Cassandra's were motionless and she bore a sweet smile. It was clear that'd she had enjoyed turning the beasts on each other.

Bre watched with a look of surprise as Veronica made both of the frozen werefish pass out. So there was more to her power then? She began to open her mouth to speak, but instead slapped a hand over her bright red eyes. She was looking at Veronica just now... she could have frozen her. But then Veronica started talking in less then ten seconds after she looked at her. Bre hesitantly removed her hand to speak. "That sounds like a good idea. Yeah," she paused to turn to look at an approaching werefish. It momentarily froze. "I'll freeze anyone coming towards us. As for someone to help protect us..." she glanced around. One meta was reeling in the fish humanoids, but he seemed busy with that. A he-she person who seemed to be in a panic state. A girl who was fighting with... her nails. Then there were other metas, as well.

Bre's eyes settled on the flame-and-lightning duo again. The flame guy seemed a bit drunk, but the one with lightning... "Hey! Lightning guy!" she called to Raphael, hands over her eyes. Me and my friend are metas, but can only defend. Mind lending us a hand or bolt or something? I can freeze the fish guys a few seconds with eye contact."

Leila let out a harsh laugh, deep and guttural, and the sigils burning white-hot on her palms began to send thin cords of liquid fire dancing up her arms, etching out tattoos in some forgotten language across her forearms, down her back and chest, running up her next. Standing next to her was now unbearably hot: literally, it would be akin to opening the door of a furnace after giving it a few hours to build up hot air inside. The gas was starting to affect her, however, if just barely, but she was too caught up in the heat of battle (or, perhaps, the literal heat of the battle) to notice minor things like the fact the edges of her vision were blurring or she couldn't feel her toes.

One of those other two weaklings had hurled a blast of shadow at it, which was perhaps marginally impressive, but they were inherently opposed to one another. There was no darkness in the building, not anymore: the rafters, the walls, the floors and tables, they'd all begun to be devoured by the hellfire, refusing to go out even when there was no kindling left to draw from, merely spreading as if it were aware of what would burn hottest and easiest, and moving towards it. The thick smoke mixed with the frog's fumes and made the building, in general, a pretty severe biohazard. The whole time, Leila flickered like a star about to go nova, painful to look directly at, sigils dancing maniacally across her naked skin. The only thing left of her clothes or shoes were the burnt shreds clinging to her shoulders or melted soles of her feet; she didn't seem to notice the latter. It didn't really seem like Leila could be burned at the moment. A second Leila, like a twin sister, occasionally flickered into sight behind her, hurling extra hellfire at the far corners of the restaurant, sending the poisonous fumes away from her with a blast of hot air, or merely watching the remaining people with eyes that were very cold despite all the fire around them.

Finish this. All of your strength. Forward. The boy has procured some boiling oil. If he is killed in the explosion, it will merely mean removing one of His agents-he will likely turn on you as soon as the fight is over. Go. Now.

Leila didn't resist or tell Wrath no, as she would've before: the way the heat felt, the kind of strength running through her arms and legs, how strong and confident she felt standing completely naked, knowing she could destroy anyone who made fun of her for being different behind her back or spread rumors about why she missed school often, knowing that NONE of them would dare say a word about her now that she had seen what she was, who she was, what she could really do, now that she knew every last f*cking problem she'd ever had could be solved like this...

Leila grinned, her hair blazing with white-hot fire but not being burned, and little wisps of flame darting out in-between her teeth. She outstretched a single hand and three ribbons of fire, like supermassive, flaming snakes, exploded out from the sigil in her hand and rushed towards the oil. They homed in on it within a second and sent boiling out oil across half the restaurant in one massive, flaming explosion.

Some of it landed on Leila's skin. She idly brushed it off.

Leila turned, wide grin on her face, and raised her hands towards the street-Surely if this beast is here, there are others. Make this town look like Dresden, Leila. There should be nothing left but ashes burning hot enough to melt through shoes, smoke hot enough to roast their lungs... but...faltered. Some vague, very confused part of her wondered why she was facing towards the street when she'd been fighting the toad...

Pride whispered, sounding very weak and coming from a very far-distance-Don't give in to Amon, Miss Leila- and the rather dazed mind of Leila Septim (which was beginning to feel woozy from silly things like toxins and oxygen deprivation) wondered if it was the voice of God.

You f*cking weakling. Get up. GET UP. a sharp boot, invisible but nonetheless there, kicked Leila (who was kneeling, staring at the ground drunkenly, unable to stand) in the ribs and made her fall over: this was no hallucination. Anyone watching would've seen Leila's form curl in as if someone really had kicked her. Surrendering control to the demons rarely ended well for her.

Leila run-

Leave-

Amon will kill us al-

Only one voice didn't seem particularly concerned with the burning building around her or the smoke building up in her lungs. In the same lazy, detached tone, Sloth whispered something to her. Do not worry about the burning building, Leila. Or the smoke. I can take care of it for you, if you wish.

Leila blinked, staring at the ground, which was bending back and forth beneath her. That wasn't right. ...that would be okay... A sudden sleepiness overcame her, dragging her arms and legs down to the floor (the fiery sigils of Wrath had faded, leaving faint burn marks across her flesh that would be gone by the morning; now, they were replaced by the gentle ones of Sloth, which were subtle enough to be mistaken for the creases of her hand on her palms), followed shortly by her face. The wood, despite being a few hundred degrees, was surprisingly comfortable. She sighed, feeling both the effects of the poison in her system lessen and her concern for the world at large fade.

Sleep, Leila. The other voices went quiet again, aside from Wrath, who was barely audible. There is not enough poison in the air to kill you now.

Okay. That sounds good.

Amelia was starting to get into the groove of fighting the werefish. She found that unless she struck them while they were in the water they were much too tall to easily strike. The strange monsters were much taller then her. Sometimes she would strike down one that was hunched over, those ones were easy. She almost started a game with herself, maybe as a way to cope with the fear of being attacked by monsters. The ones that she poisoned while in the water were the easiest, so they earned her ten points. Double that if they stayed in the water. The hunched over ones were tougher since they could move and hurt her. But since she could still reach the gills they earned fifty points, with extra being earned if she could kick them back into the water. She didn't want the werefish cluttering up the pier and making it hard to move around quickly.

The hardest to take down were the really tall ones. She was unable to reach the gills of the tall werefish unless she awkwardly stretched herself out on her tippy-toes. But this was also much more dangerous as she was off balance quite a bit. Luckily she had only had to deal with one of the really big fish, earning herself a bonus one hundred points. The werefish seemed to dislike getting stinging poison in their gills, but the young girl wasn't sure if she was really killing them or not.

However point totals didn't really matter when she noticed some movement out of the corner of her eye. It wasn't a werefish, it was far too human. In fact it was two humans. Amelia swore they weren't there a second ago, maybe she had been too distracted. She turned to face them, wondering if the male was injured. This was her first mistake. Turning your back on the things you are fishing is a really dumb move. Suddenly a werefish grabbed the end of her scarf, trying to yank her into the icy water. Amelia found herself wrapping her gloved hands around one of the columns supporting the pier for dear life as the werefish began to choke her.

Sage Lucas Pimm.

Sage - Well, Sage had little idea what the hell it was going to do when the horde of them rushed up. There was a creep of panic creeping up on Sage, which prevented it from coming up with a proper way to avoid getting mauled. The only thing that Sage did was create another bubble of plasma, and pray to god that the searing heat drove them off. However, something else handled the fish-men - Well, it was more of an internal. They started fighting amongst each other, ripping each other. It was a truly terrifying sight, even for Sage. It's eyes widened as it watched in utter terror and shaking heavily. It's never been through anything like this. Then that feeling of terror escalated when the last one standing killed itself. Now, Sage just sat there on it's behind. Confused, and scared as f*ck. Until a little voice came out of no where...

After the voice finished talking, Sage looked around, to see no one. It was obviously a Meta-human speaking to Sage... But whom isn't important. "Right." Sage spoke to no one in particular. Things here are getting stranger by the second. Sage quickly jumped back up to it's feet, looking around at everything. It's hair was flickering a light blue color. Quickly switching from it's usual bright blonde color to glowing light-blue. It's eyes were also starting to glow bright-blue. All of which is what happens when Sage is particularly stressed or emotional. There wasn't too much time to get it together - Not with rampaging fish-monsters running about. It had little clue what caused them to slaughter each other - Nor did it really give a f*ck right now. All Sage wanted to do was get out of here. It isn't a hero. It isn't a warrior. There were little reasons to stay here when it could easily leave here.

With one quick jump, Sage was standing on top of the guard-rail. There was no way in hell people aren't going to notice this, but Sage leaped off the guard-rail with the grace of an angel. Body was like a cross, with arms straight out and legs tightly put together. Mid-leap, Sage started flight, hair flowing wildly. Sage flew above the water fast as it could (Which was around 30 MPH). Leaving behind the party and all of the chaos and destruction. It flew high enough above the water so that any Were-Fish that jumped out wouldn't get the chance to bite Sage.

After a relatively short flight, Sage returned to shore. Landing on both feet. The situation here wasn't too good either. The only upside was that there was a place to run. The best plan that Sage had in mind was slip off where nobody's looking, and never show up here again. Swinging it's head around quickly; Sage examined the area around it, it's long, brightly colored hair swinging left and right. Two people had just arrived at the coast, from the boat. Which gave Sage the idea that they're Meta-humans too. However, something else had caught it's eye... There was a brave little girl, fighting off the Fish-men by stabbing them. Either she was brave, or especially stupid - But that was besides the point. She was pinned by a Were-Fish and would surely be killed without external intervention. Another was going towards her, but Sage had the feeling she wouldn't get there in time.

While Sage was reluctant to stay here and fight... It wouldn't live with itself if it just runs away while this girl gets mauled to death. Sage pointed it's right hand at the fish-man, palms out. It's plasma-charged blood started glowing through it's hand's nervous-system. A hissing sound was emitted from Sage. Then a thick, light-blue gas surrounded Sage's hand, flowing upwards idly. An orb of plasma came out of Sage's hand the size of a basket-ball, leaving behind a trail of plasma. This orb maneuvered through the crowds of people until it hit the fish-man. Upon contact, it would cause severe burns and radiation and electrical based damaged.
