I don't think it's a good idea.

There are mature people who are stupid Op.

And there are Intelligent folks who are immature. so even if they do figure it out that doesn't man they are mature

I say just have it where the mods and admins invite those they find mature based on everyday discussion in the forum and if anyone thinks one person shouldn't be allowed in the mature rp section simply tell a mod and explain their reasoning. I know there's several problems wih this idea but it seems the most logical, considering that the best way to tell if someone is mature is by talking to them.

Those are all good ideas. However I still feel that there should be some sort of limit, as small as it may be. I like the pass code idea actually. But what else can we think of? Are there any more options?

If a younger member reads the mature RPs I agree in the aspect that its on them, but there are those among younger kids that are immature if you know what I'm getting at

I don't exactly understand the purpose for this mature section. We can't prevent immature people from getting in. And what is maturity, really? There's no one here who I'd call 100% "mature". Honestly it sounds like a section for rps about things that are extremely inappropriate for a group of teenagers to be writing.

People have their tastes. And when I made this forum I wanted there to be complete freedom, then I ran into the anti-explicit policy and I feel stupid calling this forum a free writin place when there are restrictions.

I withdraw my support for the Mature section. I have come to the decision that it will not go well.

Scrap the mature section. If the RP is 'mature', then just say so on the OOC itself.

The point is that "mature" implies 18+. Most of us aren't even 18 yet. Secondly, what does 18+ on a website look like to outsiders? It, quite frankly, looks like pornography, which will ruin us.

I'm over 18. In fact I can legally drink..... Yet my birthday passed without notice.....

But technically it wouldn't be the entire site, just one section. And who said all of it had to be sexually themed? What about things like cussing and gore?

well we have that already in limited amounts already... And it tends to lead to arguments on occasion.... mostly over if it's right or not.... but still.

It doesn't have to simply be sexual posts, there are other mature aspects that don't belong in the rest of the forum. I looked at RPP's Mature section and it acts mostly as a gory/dark RP section. There are things like drugs, alcohol, cussing, gore, extreme violence can be added.
