ϴ℘♄☤∂ḯαᾔ Ṽαʟε

"How long?" Tharan asked, his black scales glistening in the moonlight atop the large hill overlooking the valley. "Whenever she finds the key and gathers enough followers..." Satho said. The two blackish dragons looked over at the stars, they shined down from the heavens with beauty, the moon however was ill-boding... Although the moon looked harmless, beautiful even, during an eclipse it would bring forth a monster from the past. One that once tried to enslave all dragon-kind but failed...

"This can't happen!" Tharan said. "I locked him up well enough, the Vault has to keep him!" Satho looked at Tharan with a grave face, shaking his head. "No... If Naloma finds the proper spells and keys, he'll be back... And he'll go after you first. The ordeal isn't over and you have a mark for death on you" Satho added. Tharan looked up at the sky. The silver dragoness, Bella walked out from the trees and bushes behind them, she could tell by the look on Tharan's face that her old enemy would soon be realized unto the realms once again.
"It... it can't be true! You killed him!" Bella said. Tharan sighed hardly, and looked down at his feet. "No... I just imprisoned him... I wish I never would have made that mistake..."
"Well, I have news. The fire dragons are starting another rebellion. Dargal needs you to help him protect the temples" Bella said. Tharan nodded and turned away.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to Ophidian Vale. This is an RP I started a while ago on the Sporum. This will make my third active RP on Roleplex.

The Dragon Realm, also known as Ophidian Vale, was known for many things, bu there was one thing it was most commonly known for... Dragons...

These mighty creatures roamed the land in search of their own destinies. Some good, some bad. No more different than a human being in personality, but in nature they were far different from our kind. Dragons could be beautiful, they could also be horrifically frightening and ugly, dreadful, and disgraceful. Times were changing, this world was morphing into something it was not... Evil was everywhere. The world was once peaceful, but after the fall of the dreaded Ancients things were never the same...

At the moment, something terrible is poisoning the land. The evil dragon Shadow has been imprisoned in a powerful containment called The Vault. Recently the villain Zorr released the spirit of a dragoness named Naloma just before he was destroyed. As Naloma took a physical form, she decided to gain revenge on her old X-mate who initially destroyed Shadow, sending his spirit to this place. She is now searching for a way to free Shadow and will do everything in her power to do this. But there is a key, hidden far away, somewhere in the land, it is the only way to free Shadow. There is more. A disease is spreading throughout the dragons. Nobody knows where it came from, its origin, or how to stop it. Yet at least... Another incident, some of the fire dragons are beginning to rebel. Do these events have anything to do with each other? The answer, lies within the realm.

6. You must ask me if your character can be a Hallow (explained later in the story)

7. Wait for a mod to accept your sheet

8. I also allow dragons from other RPs and stories. In fact, this story will not only take place in the Ophidian Vale. It will take place in a variety of universes and worlds.

Accepted Characters

-DarkLord979

Name: Tharan

Age: 790

Gender: Male

Appearance: http://my.deviantart.com/art/Tharan-357001030 (Awesome picture made for me by my good friend Sairei)
Tharan is a very, very, very handsome young dragon and quite charming. He often uses this to his advantage in the persuasion arts. He never has a single shade of ragediness on him. He is quite finely structured. His claws are not roughly sharpened or wildly outgrown, they are sharpened finely without a nick or scratch on them. He has fine scales of the most beautiful black and silver iron and his horns are some of the most beautiful one could find. He is graceful and handsome, something most dragons are jealous of.

Personality: Tharan is one of the most mysterious, most interesting people you will ever meet. He is very wise for a young dragon and ever so clever. He is very, very clever. He is quite caring and loving when you first approach him, he can be very kind and nuturing. He was once known for being an evil dragon after a tragedy struck his family and changed him forever. However after miracles happened and he met new people and changed his ways, he was like this no more and is to this day one of the most peaceful dragons you will ever meet.

History: Tharan was born on a huge realm called the Dragon Realm. When he was only a child, a rival clan of dragons attacked his homeclan and killed every person in his family--slaughtered them right in front of him. Luckily he escaped into an underground chasm that the other enemy dragons couldn't fit into and he got away--he was the only one of his clan and family to escape alive. Eventually he made life on his own and taught himself how to live like this. He kept to himself and showed little emotion other than a slightly depressed face. He soon learned other things from locals and other dragons and eventually he killed the enemy dragons that had murdered his parents, yet he felt no satisfaction and took to himself. At this point he was very vengeful and vile. He murdered a few others that had gotten under his skin and tried to kill him, and in the end he survived with little scratches. He once destroyed a village of creatures that tried to hunt him down and eat him, he raised the village's dead and their own dead turned against them in a hungry mad feeding spree. Soon a group of Ancient dragons rose to create a council over the world of the Dragon Realm. After that, an evil tyrant named Shadow emerged in the land and began to slaughter people in an attempt to assert his rule over the land. Tharan quickly defeated and killed him and his henchmen. Later in life he discovered the Destroyed Realm when the Ancients finally turned evil after being corrupted by an evil Keros Immortal named Arcelis, an old "acquaintance" of Mallis. He escaped to the Destroyed Realm to avoid being killed and met a group of heroes that changed his life forever. Later however he went back to the Dragon Realm after hearing that the dragon he once met and fell in love with had gone there to give life back to the land. On the way he discovered that the Ancients had resurrected a female dragon named Naloma in which Tharan once loved many years ago before the realm had died and been consumed by the corruption. Naloma was the one dragoness Tharan could not escape, she forever had her grip on his mind. Earlier in life, Tharan met Naloma and the two instantly became mates, however after Shadow began to rise to power, Naloma tried to convince Tharan to start using Dark Magic. Tharan at first refused, but he fell victim to her pressure and began using it and becoming a criminal himself. He was proclaimed a criminal just after the death of Shadow when Tharan murdered a few children with dark magic in his anger. After a while Naloma began to act suspicious and eventually tried to kill Tharan eight times. In the end, Tharan ended up killing Naloma, even though he still loved her and loved her even after each time she attacked him. So when he discovered Naloma, she begged him for forgiveness. He accepted but was cautious. Later when he and the group of dragons destroyed the Ancients and their creation The Guardian, the dragoness that Tharan had loved, Sairei, left and was gone with her own mate Twilit. Tharan was heartbroken and wanted alone time. However that very night, Naloma was freed from a curse. Naloma was not even her real name. Naloma was actually a Life Dragon named Sakura who was once an admirer of Tharan. When they were young, Sakura was kidnapped by a sorcerer named Zorr who transformed her into a large black necromancer dragoness. Zorr knew that Tharan would never stop loving her, even after she tried to kill him and he would not fight her back. So his plan was that Naloma would eventually kill Tharan. However he was startled when Tharan killed her. The only way that the curse could be broken was if Tharan fell in love with somebody else and he did which revived Sakura into her real form, however the spirit of Naloma still lives on and has taken its own physical form. So Tharan instantly fell back in love with Sakura and to this day the two of them are peacekeepers to the universe and will fight evil at all costs.

Abilities/Powers: Tharan can raise spirits from the dead, but this is an ever so tiresome task at it drains him of energy very quickly and takes ages to recharge. Tharan can also turn invisible but it drains him like the necromancy, he can transform into various gasses, produce black fogs to cloud the visions of his enemies, and of course regular attack magics and spells like most magic folk. He can also fly.

Other: Flame

------------------------------------------------

Name: Bella

Age: 779

Gender: Female

Appearance:
http://safyr3.deviantart.com/art/Bella-358096642

Bella is one of the most beautiful dragonesses you could come across. She is colored silver, a beautiful shade of it that sparkles brightly when under the light of the moon. Her eyes are a beautiful emerald color and seem to sparkle and slightly glow during the night time. She has leathery scales, a kind not as hard or thick, yet still very protective. Bella is also quite lean, flexible, and lithe. She has long wings with whitish membranes and long claws on her wing thumbs. She is finely structured and beautifully designed, rather like Tharan. She does not have any imperfection to her beautiful and fine body. She also has long slender white horns that seem to be cored with crystals on the inside. This may also be the reason why they glow when under any sort of moonlight whatsoever.

Personality: Bella has been shy as of the latest years in her life. She's also been very depressed and lonely. She can be quite a joy to be around when she's happy, but often she is upset and thinking about the worst and what will come to her. She's always been searching for her destiny, ever since the horrid days she suffered with Shadow, she's been looking for a purpose, an answer and for the time being... she feels as though she is completely worthless.

History: Bella was born in a part of the Dragon Realm far, far away from Tharan's clan. She came from the same clan as one of the most notorious villains ever to rise upon the horizon of the realm... Shadow. Shadow and Bella had grown up together, however they never really met or were properly acquainted until they were young adults. After a long time of being friends the two eventually became mates, Bella all the while not knowing that Shadow would one day turn into an evil beast.

As they grew older, Shadow's hostility became all the more apparent and soon he began acting strange, as if hiding things from Bella. Eventually it was quite clear (and he knew it) that he was evil. He began using mind spells on Bella, and trying to persuade her to tag along and help him do his evil. He killed a few dragons firstly, she never knew exactly what to think, yet she forgave him. He eventually kept trying to persuade her, and made her physically intoxicated in mind spells and magic that she could barely breathe and had to start fighting it off. Eventually Shadow warped her mind for three nights and made her into an evil beast that went on a rampage. When the curse lifted, Bella fought Shadow off and thus ended their relationship. She did not manage to kill him, however such was not even her plan. She escaped and began to live a life of solitude.

When she heard he was killed by a necromancer, she was both pleased and greatly saddened. She remembered all of the good times she had with him. Eventually when the Guardians and Arcelis rose to power she escaped like Tharan did and found the Destroyed Realm. She then began a life of her own...

Abilities/Powers: Bella was born under the light of the full moon. She would have been a Moon Dragon anyways, but this gave her even more power. She has the power to summon magic from the moon to create massive spells not only for her own defense, but for other things like making the beautiful worlds around her grow. One particular spell is the spell to raise large traps made of invisible forces. These are often bubble shaped or sometimes in the form of a wall to shield one from enemies or to trap enemies themselves. Another spell is the spell to create large cracks in the ground that lead to the Spirit World itself. Another would be to freeze creatures into stone, only to be freed under the direct light of a full eclipse. One spell is particularly powerful, she can summon a large fog of white light, doing this all that will be heard is an angelic voice singing. The white light will foil any enemies nearby and kill those that are too weak to withstand it. She also has the power of several types of breaths. Usually when she rests in a certain area for a certain amount of time, Moon Lilies will grow all around, this is typical for Moon Dragons which is why there are always silver flowers all over their lairs. Bella also can summon creatures from other realms, and of course, visit those who are dead. She cannot raise the dead like Tharan, however she can go into the Spirit World and visit them.

Name: Cain

Age: 890

Gender: Male

Appearance:
Cain is a tall gray dragon whose skin is leathery yet still very protective. His eyes are a dark purple with black slits and if you stare into them, you'll probably see strange moving "objects" that look like various smokes, vapors, and streams of light. These are a gift since when he was born, the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was the moon. This is called "MoonEye" and is extremely rare. Cain has long silver-ish white horns and cat-like ears. He has long white claws and smooth scales. He is slim, yet fairly muscular.

Personality:
Cain is very calm and peacefully minded, despite this he will not back away from a fight and will do his best to fight for what he believes is right and good. He likes to view the beauty of the Vale, go out on the full moon and view the world from above, swirl through the clouds, and feel the gentle breeze in his face. He loves to fly, especially on nights when the moon is shining. Viewing and flying through beauty is his passion and he loves to be at peace with the world and to love everything about it. Whenever he flies, he feels like he is in a dream.

History: Cain was born in the plains and was later taken to The Garden and is one of the most magically places in the Vale. It was sculpted by beings long ago and to this day is a sanctuary for Elders. Cain was born, and unfortunately his mother died from a disease a few hours before he even hatched from his egg. His father had abandoned him shortly after that. Just as he hatched, a mother who had lost her child found him and brought him to the Garden where he was then raised by the Elder dragon named Anikus who resides of the Midnight Water elements. The mother raised Cain as much as she could, but was saddened because Anikus had taken over much of the parenting, teaching Cain all he needed to know about the world and raising him peacefully.

Abilities/Powers: Cain can breathe various breaths: a purple flame, shadow, purple lightning, a gale of wind, and a few magical vapors and lights. Cain also has minor hypnosis, but this hypnosis is not a controlling one. If you stare into his beautiful purple eyes, you'll feel so soothed and intoxicated and at peace that you'll lose all focus on the world around you and will be caught up in a stare, thinking beautiful things. Cain also can open minor black holes and create vortexes that have certain magical properties. Some are used to attack, others can be defensive, some can be used to teleport. Cain has another major ability. He has the gift of Illusion. He can make the world seem distorted to other people and/or can give them a sort of hallucination and place illusions in front of them.

Name: Nivosus
Age: 1023
Gender: Female

Appearance: Nivosus, being an incredibly elderly dragon, has definitely seen better days, judging by her appearance. She is incredibly large, being 64 feet long, but almost two thirds of her length consist of her tail and neck, and only a small portion of her size is actually her torso. Her skull is large enough to be the same size as most human children. She has a massive wingspan of 84 feet long, making her capable of incredible maneuvers in flight that would be too difficult for other dragons her size to pull off. She lacks front legs, and therefore crawls on the clawed tips of her wings. She weighs around 18 tons. Nivosus’ coloration is mostly bronze and tan, but in a few patches, along with right around the base of her skull, and on the edges of her wings and tail, they change to a mix of white and grey-blue. A few of her scales have also turned grey from age. The plates running down her belly are white. Nivosus has a total of twelve thick ivory horns, a few of which are chipped or broken, and when combined with her white scales, makes her appear to have a kind of beard, which often misleads humanoids into believing she is male. Long, sharp spines run down her back, and depending on the color of the scales in the patch, they are either white or blue-gray, the bronze patches being ivory, and white patches having blue-gray spines. Several of her spines are also chipped. Nivosus’ wings are bat-like in shape, but have five fingers that support the membranes, and three sharp talons on the tips of the wings that she uses to walk. The edges of Nivosus’ wings along her arms, and the last wing finger she possesses have a single, razor-sharp bone that runs the entire length, making an attack from Nivosus’ wing incredibly dangerous. The wings are mostly bronze colored, but the edges of the membranes are white, and the wings are also incredibly tattered, due to age. The membrane naturally connects at the hips, and barely trails down her tail. Nivosus’ tail is thick, with a large spade-shaped barb at the end. This barb has sharpened and serrated edges on it, and it has the capability to cut things, but is hard enough to be swung like a club. Nivosus has on her feet three front talons, and one back talon, which allows her to grip things in a fashion similar to a bird. Her teeth are long and sharp like daggers, and the inside of her mouth is black, with a blue forked tongue. Nivosus has electric blue eyes that are flecked with paler shades of blue and green, with elliptical pupils. In the dark, her eyes shine like stars, making them her most prominent and beautiful feature.

Personality: Nivosus is an old, elderly dragon who has long ago come to believe that nature is perfect the way it is, without outside interference. As a result, she also believes that all disturbances in the balance of the world are linked to sapient beings that try to influence it, and tries to find ways to link to the natural order, to gain a better understanding of life. Due to her age, Nivosus has grown quite wise and intelligent as a whole, and it is often helpful to heed any advice that she gives, although she may blame young age if people do not heed her warnings. Despite trying to be a good dragon, she has a tendency to look down on younger creatures as a whole, due to their lack of experience. She often does not like them to interfere in matters beyond their understanding, partly because they may make a mistake, or get hurt. As a result, Nivosus may sometimes contradict her own advice, by performing actions that go against what she might say. This includes doing things completely alone without the assistance of friends, or charging blindly into battle without considering risks, although the latter is rare.

History: Nivosus was originally born a hybrid hatchling, part Highland Dragon and part Frost Wyvern. Although her mother had laid three eggs, Nivosus was the only dragon to hatch, the other two eggs having turned out bad, as a result of the risks associated with two dramatically different species cross-breeding. Nivosus, however, had managed to be born without any defects, and had gained the best abilities of both dragon types, although her main breath ability took after her father, the Frost Wyvern. Although at first she was unable to do anything, she quickly developed ice breath that could give severe frostbite to most creatures on contact, as well as great size and incredible flight capability. Over time, however, the young dragoness was frequently shunned for her mixed blood, and was unable to fit in with others. As a result, when she was able to live on her own, she withdrew to a frozen ice cave in the northern mountains of her realm, where even ice-related dragons were afraid to go, as a result of the lack of prey and fear of starvation. Despite this, Nivosus discovered a way to survive, by hunting for marine animals such as seals in the nearby glacier. Over time her solitude began to affect her negatively, and she yearned for something beyond the desolate landscape. However, this was later replaced by deep understanding, and an admiration of the balance of nature. Upon this enlightenment, Nivosus awakened great power, and became a Hallow dragon, fueled by the power of balance of nature. As a result, she became a guardian, devoting her extended lifespan to protecting the peace and harmony of the world.

Abilities/Powers: Nivosus is a Frost and Highland dragon mix. Although Highland dragons breathe fire, Nivosus appears to have standard Frost dragon abilities. She can breathe a cold white breath that can freeze things to a total of -50 degrees Fahrenheit, which can instantly turn water into ice, and cause third or fourth-degree frostbite, making her ice breath no less dangerous than a dragon’s fire breath. Nivosus is also capable of flying at a total of 100 miles per hour, which makes her faster than any land animal on the planet, although plenty of dragons can easily match or surpass her speed. Her speed is still very surprising, due to her massive size and weight. People are also often impressed by her maneuverability, as she is capable of making fast turns in the air, and even flying in loops or upside down. When crawling on the ground, she does not appear to be hindered by her wings. In combat, Nivosus has many other abilities aside from her frost breath. Her powerful teeth and claws can cause incredible injury, and her horns allow her to charge her enemies and smash through obstacles. Her muscular tail is tipped with a spade-like barb, which is incredibly hard, with razor-sharp edges. This large barb can act like a bludgeon, used to smash things, or like a sword, due to its blade-like properties. Even in flight, Nivosus has more weapons than just ice breath. The edges of her wings are sharp like razors, and can be used as weapons, and are capable of slicing through fully grown trees. Her spines make it difficult for creatures to leap onto her back without consent or injury, and act as a kind of defense. Nivosus also has night vision, which lets her see perfectly in the dark. Abilities that came later, as a part of her becoming a Hallow, is that she is capable of living much longer than a normal dragon, and she is also able to perform Necromancy, the act of raising the dead. However, it is a taxing skill, and she tries to avoid interfering with the balance of life and death.

Other: Flame

Name: Tenebris
Age: 153
Gender: Male
Length: 4’0” (Tail makes up roughly 2’0”)
Weight: 8lbs.
Wingspan: 12’0”

Appearance: Tenebris is a very unique dragon in appearance, but due to his small size, seems far less threatening than he really is. He resembles most western dragon breeds, possessing four legs, wings, and a distinct body, unlike the more serpentine eastern breeds. Tenebris has a very lean build, much like a greyhound, with long, powerful legs, a deep chest, and a flexible spine, which allow him to move very quickly when running. His feet are like raccoon paws, and are incredibly dexterous, along with a sixth digit that functions like an opposable thumb. His claws are also far sharper than a normal raccoon’s, and much stronger, capable of leaving deep, painful cuts. Despite the shape of his legs, Tenebris is capable of standing on his hind legs for short periods, freeing up his front claws. His tail is long and thin, making up half of his entire body length, and on the tip, he possesses a long barb that does not appear to have any qualities like that of a bone or sharpened scale, but more the characteristics of a razor-sharp, double-edged blade. This barb is incredibly hard, and is useful for many different things. Tenebris’ entire body is covered in sleek armored plates, like that of a giant plated lizard, and past his long, arching neck, his face is much like that of a Bengal monitor lizard. At the base of his skull he has two horns shaped similarly to that of a Nyala Antelope. The inside of his mouth is white, and so is his tongue. He has small, needle-like teeth. Raised triangular scales on his back form a single row of spines on his back. Tenebris’ wings are very large, being three times his length, and when fully opened, appear to be sail or tent-like in shape, the arm joint being completely straight, and the size of the wings dwarfing the rest of his body, making him seem far larger. Tenebris’ main coloration is pure black, but despite the sleek texture of his scales, light does not seem to reflect harshly off of him, like it should, and instead, seems to dissipate through his scales like mist, making his scales seem far duller in appearance, and more like smooth leathery skin. His horns and blade-like tail also have similar characteristics, being incredibly sleek and sharp, but reflecting the light as though it were dissipating into mist. This often can be dangerous, as this makes his tail and horns look far duller than they truly are, which leads enemies to believe they are not capable of causing injury. Tenebris also has raccoon-like markings on his face, but in reverse colors, the markings around his eyes being pale grey, contrasting with his black scales, and being ringed by white. Despite this change in colors, the odd lighting effect does not leave Tenebris’ scales. Tenebris’ eyes are by far the most unique quality of his appearance. His eyes are an almost-black shade of blue, filled with points of white that look like stars. Near the edge of his elliptical pupils, the blue brightens, making it look as though his eyes were rifts in the night sky. His eyes appear to give off a faint aventurescence luster or glow, and therefore also seem to glitter constantly. Many people are mesmerized by this. His most unusual factor about his appearance, however, is Tenebris’ shadow; he does not cast one at all, and this often disorients people to some degree, or at least confuses them, because it is difficult to tell how he is affected by light. This often leads those who see him to believe his is the concentrated substance of shadows and mist himself.

Personality: Tenebris is easily considered by almost everyone who knows him to be a stellar jerk, in a nutshell. He generally boasts a prideful, condescending manner that often offends others, and he almost always treats those around him as inferior, even if they are actually equals, or of higher rank. Much of this behavior stems from the fact that Tenebris is perhaps the greatest thief in the dragon world, capable of entering even the best fortified locations, as well as picking any lock or cracking any safe in record timing, in such a fashion that there is no evidence that he was ever even present. Even the best security is useless against his talents, and as a result the most powerful individuals are helpless to avoid being robbed blind, should Tenebris choose to do so. He is also able to beat a master swordsman with the sharp blade on his tail, making him amazingly good at combat, despite his small size.

However, there are other reasons for his rude behavior. Due to his self-proclaimed profession as a thief, Tenebris almost always worries that those around him might try to befriend him in an attempt to steal back his ill-gotten goods, or trick him into imprisonment for his previous crimes. There is also the risk of those he has stolen from coming back for revenge, wanting to punish him, not just physically, but psychologically, as well. As a result, he has developed a stony, ice-cold manner that is typically found repellent by most people, and may make him seem completely heartless, as he has a tendency to be cruel or insulting towards those who he has defeated in some way, as well as to those he does not like. However, despite having a large amount of treasure in his hoard of gold and jewels, it does not fill the hole in his heart where love and friendship should belong. He may be wealthy, but Tenebris is also extremely lonely and sad, deep beneath his facade. Although he may be very good at hiding his feelings, Tenebris truly does feel hurt when he is called heartless, or considered to not have any friends. Despite being selfish for the most part, he does have a sense of nobility, as he will keep any promise he makes, as well as defend anyone who manages to gain his trust, although for the most part, he will avoid sounding nice, and deny that he performed any kind act at all. However, regardless of who he is speaking to, Tenebris will always harshly react to those who infringe on his sense of pride, and he will also always punish those who try to wrong or steal from him. He is very protective of his adoptive brother, Albus, and will severely torment anyone who harms him.

History: In a strange cave, so deep that it is pitch black at the bottom, and inescapable to most, a single black egg hatched, and the young dragon that was born chose the name Tenebris, meaning ‘Darkness’ as its name. This dragon, one of a kind, was born completely alone, and as a result, learned to fend for himself at an early age. Due to his natural abilities, Tenebris was easily able to navigate the dark abyss where he hatched, and upon emerging to the surface world, discovered light for the first time. He also saw how light reflected from certain objects, and much like the magpie, developed a tendency to steal shiny things. However, as he grew older, Tenebris realized that his things were not of value, and disposed of them; instead stealing gold, jewels, and treasure. Although at first he was rather careless, Tenebris soon developed an art to his thievery, becoming one of the greatest dragon thieves in existence, and as his hoard grew, so did his pride.

However, despite this, Tenebris was very lonely, his treasure lacking the warmth and compassion of a friend or family, although by this point, he had developed a strong belief that he was meant to be alone. He became cold and callous, but was unprepared for the day that he would stumble upon a hatchling that had been born under similar circumstances to his own. Due to their similarities, Tenebris quickly took in the hatchling; a young dragon named Albus, as his adoptive brother, and promised to protect the young dragon with his life. He even went so far as to illuminate the dark abyss where he kept his hoard, in order to make it possible for Albus to see, although he saw fine without it. Although Albus is now old enough to go out on his own, Tenebris still remains extremely protective of the young dragon, and will go to great lengths to keep him safe.

Abilities/Powers: Tenebris, despite his incredibly small size, has a far more unique skill set than one might think. Unlike most dragons, Tenebris does not produce traditional fire or ice as a breath. Instead, he has the capability to shoot small fist-sized balls of bluish-violet plasma, which creates a flash of light, and usually a small fire, wherever they strike. This makes his fire less likely to hit moving targets, but causes a solid impact. The resulting flames burn at a temperature of 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, about the temperature of a candle, but while in the shape of a ball, causes an almost physical impact, and is far hotter. Tenebris’ most unique abilities, however, are those he has that are linked to shadows. He does not cast a shadow, making him talented at hiding in even the most obvious of places. He can also fade from view to the point that he is nearly invisible, but a faint dark shape still remains, drifting like mist. Tenebris can also fuse into a shadow on the ground, and hide in the shadows cast by objects or things. Light does not appear to cause any injury to him, although bright light makes it more difficult to hide. When flying, Tenebris is blindingly fast, flying up to 500 miles per hour, due to his lighter weight, large wings, and aerodynamic shape. It is also believed, but not proven, that he may also move fast due to his shadow abilities. When running on the ground, he can go up to 25 miles per hour, reaching this speed incredibly fast from a rest position, making catching him, even in enclosed areas, a difficult task. Tenebris has good night vision, also, which makes him much better at his self-proclaimed profession of thievery. His incredibly hard, sharp claws, combined with dexterous hands with opposable thumbs, make him good at picking locks, and also double as close-combat weapons. His clever mind allows him the intelligence to crack safes, as well. His sharp teeth are also useful for fighting, and he can jab attackers with his horns, if need be. His most powerful close-combat weapon, however, is the long, double-edged barb on his tail, which so far appears to be unbreakable, and never needs to be sharpened. This barb’s sharpness rivals that of a katana blade, and due to the tail being prehensile, is very accurate as well. Tenebris’ skills in wielding this barb easily surpass that of a master swordsman. His eyes have the greatest night vision of any dragon, due to the fact that he is able to see in complete darkness, where others are rendered blind.

Name: Albus
Age: 8
Gender: Male
Length: 3’0” (1’0” is made up by his tail)
Weight: 6 lbs.
Wingspan: 3’5”

Appearance: In many ways, Albus has a build strongly resembling that of the Pharaoh Hound dog breed, having a graceful and elegant appearance, but also looking surprisingly strong and athletic, without excessive musculature or bulk. He boasts a deep chest that has a moderate tuck up as it reaches his stomach, and laid back shoulders, along with generally long legs. He has a lean, muscular neck that is slightly arched in appearance. Albus appears to have a canine appearance for a dragon, overall, as a result. His long tail, which is thin and whip-like, gives him an even more streamlined appearance. Albus’ wings appear to be made of extremely light, shimmering gold scales, and have a build and shape similar to the images found in Egyptian tombs of bird wings, the feather-like scales being sharply pointed or chiseled in appearance, although they are light enough to allow flight. Albus’ skull is a wedge-shape, with a long muzzle. His teeth are extremely sharp, and resemble a dog’s. His horns are medium-length, and resemble those of a Klipspringer’s, being finely pointed, but completely straight in appearance, without a curve, and bright gold. Albus has feet with five toes, three being in front, and two in the back, giving them a tong-like appearance similar to a chameleon’s. His talons are sharply curved, like an eagle, and have a shimmering gold appearance. His scales are unique in that they are reflective like a mirror and smooth, yet can become roughly keeled if he is threatened. Albus’ main coloration is a pure white, but he possesses bright reflective gold markings similar to the patterns found on a Baja Collared Lizard. His eyes have round pupils instead of elliptical ones, and the irises are a deep ocean blue.

Personality: Extremely young, and kind-hearted, Albus is easily characterized as naïve and innocent in nature. Having been terribly frightened of the world since hatching without parents in the middle of a forbidding desert, he typically hides from things that are larger or more imposing than himself, which is a lot, due to his small size, although he is still too young to have fully grown. However, he is not a coward, and curiosity quickly overcomes his fear. Initially, Albus is extremely friendly, and quickly bonds with others around him, although this may be disrupted by the intervention of his adoptive brother, Tenebris, who does not approve Albus speaking to strangers. Albus greatly respects his brother, however, and although he knows most people do not like Tenebris, has always believed in him, and forgiven his mistakes. Likewise, Albus is the only person Tenebris consistently treats with love and care, and does not treat coldly. As a result, Albus is completely devoted to him, and defends him ferociously against the words of others. Despite being extremely sweet and kind for the most part, Albus can become surprisingly aggressive and forceful if someone harms his brother in any way, even to the point of seeking revenge. Somewhat reckless, however, Albus is more likely to get in trouble if he tries to take Tenebris’ problems into his own talons.

History: In a barren desert, filled with shifting sand dunes, a shimmering gold egg hatched, and Albus was born, a dragon meant to rely on parents, but his family strangely absent. Overwhelmed by fear, the little dragon was forced to take shelter in a rocky outcropping, where he hid for many days, slowly starving from lack of food, and unable to fly, due to not having yet developed his wings. However, just when the young hatchling thought he would die, the thief Tenebris discovered him. Despite his greater age, Tenebris chose to accept the young dragon as a baby brother, believing that he was not fit to be called a father, due to his flaws, but could easily protect Albus and provide for him. With this in mind, Tenebris took the hatchling and brought him to the dark abyss where he lived, using glowing crystals to illuminate the chamber. He then spent less time stealing, and more time finding food for Albus, trying to nurse the orphan back to health. Under Tenebris’ loving care, Albus grew and developed wings, and was finally deemed capable of going out on his own, but was still to be watched by his older brother, due to his age. Although Albus is mostly independent, he still often relies on Tenebris for protection, and is typically too timid to fight most battles.

Abilities/Powers: Due to his build, Albus is a relatively well-balanced dragon. He is capable of flying about 75 miles per hour, as well as making sharp turns in the air, and on land, he can run up to 25 miles per hour on foot, making him quite swift. Although he mostly depends on his older brother, Tenebris, Albus is far from weak in combat, although it is unclear if he is old enough to have developed all his abilities. Despite his small size, Albus has incredible control over fire and light. He is able to breathe an extremely hot golden fire, which has a temperature of about 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit, and is also able to heat up his scales, to the point that he is hot to touch, and can burn things with thin or vulnerable skin, although not enough to start a fire. Using this ability, Albus can cause heat waves to form around him, and can sometimes disguise himself as a mirage, although the waves can also indicate his presence, and are easy to notice in cold temperatures. He can also use his sharp teeth, claws, and horns to attack. His eyes have a unique third membrane that shields them from light, making it impossible for bright flashes of light to blind him.

Name: Arbora
Age: 15
Gender: Female

Appearance: Brightly colored, with a sleek build, Arbora is easily considered to be a beautiful dragon. Possessing a Herrerasaurus-like build, she stands at about 6’0” tall at the hips, and is 30’0” feet in length from nose to tail, having a long tail, and a relatively short neck, making her somewhat bird-like on occasions. Although she possesses a wyvern body-type, she does not walk on her wings, and instead balances on her hind legs. Her wingspan is relatively medium-length, being about 20’0” feet in length. Arbora’s wings have a bat-like shape, having six wing fingers coming from the wrist to support the membrane, and not possessing any independent fingers or thumbs. Her tail, which is long and thin, is extremely flexible, and covered with long, sharp spines, which are smoothed down when she is calm, but become erected when Arbora is threatened or angry. She has a total of five long talons on her feet, having four in front, and one in the back. These talons are flexible, and she can use them to grip things or perch in trees that can support her weight. Arbora’s skull strongly resembles that of an Achelousaurus, possessing a frill on the back of her head, with six long horns ringing around it. She also has a single horn on her nose, above the front of her mouth, which is beak-like in appearance. Ridges of bone span between her mouth and her nose horn, and there are also ridges above her eyes, ending in three blunt horns. Her eyes have dark black marks around them that resemble kohl, and give them a heightened narrow, triangular shape, although the eyes themselves are round. Her pupils are elliptical, but become round when dilated, and the irises are a bright yellow, with amber surrounding the edges of the pupil, giving them a fiery glint, and contrasting with the black markings. Although her mouth has a beak, she also has sharp teeth, the inside of her mouth being a peach color, with a black forked tongue.

Her coloration is much like that of a Pale-Headed Rosella and a Yellow-Streaked Lory. Her horns, spines, beak, and claws are all a dark greyish black color, and are shiny, as though polished. Her small scales are highly reflective, and seem to sparkle in bright light. However, they are keeled, meaning they have ridges down the center that make them rough to the touch. They also have small serrations around the edges, making them slightly sharp if touched wrong, and allowing her to produce a unique threat display. Her main coloration is a iridescent spring green, mixed with streaks of pale reflective powder blue in increasing amounts towards her tail. On the underside of her body, Arbora’s scales are blackish grey in color around the edges, but the ridge in the center of each scale is brightly colored, giving them a streaked, almost feather-like appearance. On her back, however, starting at the base of the neck down, Arbora’s feathers are mostly a polished grey-black, with colored edges that make the scales disk-shaped in appearance. Her face is a creamy white color, and on her frill, she has two large, pale yellow spots that are ringed by black scales, which trail down to the kohl-like marks around her eyes. The tip of her nose is bright red, but fades into a point in the center of her forehead. Around her neck, all the scales are a blackish grey color, but the keel in the center of the scales are bright yellow, reminiscent of porcupine quills. The edges of Arbora’s horns and tail spines are tipped with streaks of pale yellow, making them seem even sharper than they already are.

Personality: Arbora is known to be extremely sweet and gentle in nature, being compassionate towards most others, and trusting to the point of being naïve. As a result, she will likely believe any lie someone tells her, or on occasion take a joke literally, although she is not foolish. Empathetic and kind, Arbora often is unable to hate people, regardless of how they might behave, and as a result, people often feel a need to protect her, because she may make a mistake and be hurt as a result, although she can fend for herself. However, due to her innocent nature, many others often do not wish to cause her harm, or lie on purpose. She is known to have a unique talent, in that she is able to bring out compassion from even the most cruel or self-centered of individuals, even when others have failed to do so. She is also extremely good in speaking to children, and is able to handle fragile things without breaking them. Also, despite being beautiful, she does not pay too much attention to her appearance, and will willingly do things that may cause her to get wet or dirty, as her scales will clean off eventually. However, despite her generally friendly behavior, Arbora can also be extremely ferocious. While she will not become angry if someone is merely being cold or unkind, she will be enraged if she sees them actively hurting her friends. In battle, she will fight with surprising strength and courage to defend those she cares about.

History: Arbora hatched from her egg near the coast of a tropical island, where she and her brother were raised by loving parents. However, what was not expected, was that a family feud, on account of the beginning of the Fire Dragon rebellion, would split apart her parents. As a result, she and her brother were separated, Arbora going with her mother, and her brother leaving with her father. Ever since then, there has been lingering sadness, as she never saw her older brother, whom she loved greatly, ever again. Even to this day, Arbora wishes to find him, confident that he feels the same way. However, despite this, life went on, and Arbora quickly grew into a beautiful young dragoness, complimented by others. However, despite this, she did not grow vain, and instead avoided them, not wanting to be liked on account of her looks and appearance. Eventually, she made a small group of friends who liked her for who she was. However, they also made a bad habit of trying to shelter her from the world, due to her naïve nature. As a result, Arbora often depends on her friends for protection, although on occasions she may surprise them with her strength and courage.

Abilities/Powers: Arbora is a well-balanced dragon overall. Due to her build, she is more adapted to moving on land, than flying in the air. As a result, when on land, she can run at a top speed of up to 75 miles per hour for long extended periods, making her one of the fastest dragons on foot. However, she can fly at a relatively good speed in the air, going up to 50 miles per hour in flight, although most dragons can easily pass her. However, although she is a fast runner, she is often easily caught when attacked from above, as most dragons can fly faster than she can run. However, despite this, it is often dangerous to attack her. Arbora’s scales, although appearing sleek, have almost invisible serrations around their edges, and therefore biting her will result in cutting one’s mouth. Her sharp beak and horns also make charging on land extremely lethal. However, Arbora’s best weapon is her tail, which is covered in sharp, armor-piercing spines that can be launched in volleys for a distance attack. Due to its length, she can snap it with the speed and flexibility of a whip, and the spines themselves are coated in a toxin that causes pain similar to a bee sting, although it is not fatal. These spines will also stick in the hide of opponents, until they are ripped out. Instead of breathing fire, Arbora spits boiling hot acid that is clear and resembles water. This acid quickly eats away at anything it touches, and even the most heavily armored scales are unlikely to last long when they come in contact with it. Only certain dragons, whose scales have special properties, can touch this acid and not be injured by it. Arbora can come in physical contact with almost any acid, due to her scales’ properties.

-FlowerFox2012

Name: Flower

Age: 16, but looks a couple years younger due to the fact that changelings age slightly slower than most creatures. This may seem considerably young compared to the dragons of Ophidian Vale, but since she comes from a different place, she would seem like a young teenager to them.

Appearance:
Flower is a purple fox with a pink underbelly. The tip of her tail and her lower jaw is also pink. She has short, but soft, fur, and green eyes that are said to shine like emeralds. She weighs about twelve pounds, is about three feet tall, and about four feet from nose to tail tip.

Dragon Form
Flower's dragon form is only slightly bigger than her main fox form, and three times as heavier. Her scale colors are the same as the color of her fur when she is in main form. She has a set of fins made up of a hard material on her head, as well as two horns that curve slightly downward. On the tip of her tail is a twisted horn.

Personality: Flower is a rather thoughtful, and quiet individual. She does not like to fight, but rather hide and wait it out to see what happens afterwards. She believes in listening before acting, and likes to plan things out before doing something huge. Unless, of course, there is only time for quick thinking. She tries to help whenever she can, as long at it is within her capabilities, and believes it will do more good than bad. She loves to read, and has read many books. She also likes helping others find good stories, which is why she lives and works in the Changeling Kingdom Library.

History: Flower was born in the wild in a fox's den. She lived with her parents for several weeks, but only a few days after she was weened, a pack of wolves killed them. Now orphaned, she wandered the woods for days. Fortunately, a group of young orphaned foxes found her and took her in. But after a few months, they sensed their was something different about her. This made them uneasy, and this uneasiness only grew with time. Eventually, they abandoned her in the woods. After several weeks of living in the woods, Laddy the Leprechaun found her. He knew that Flower, was in fact, a changeling, and took her to live with him in the Changeling Kingdom, a place where only changelings are allowed to live. There, he raised her, and taught her the basics of being a changeling. One day, she was gathering some herbs for Laddy outside the kingdom when she got abducted by a space pirate known as the Lizard Man. She eventually escaped, but through this adventure, she met Crystal and her friends, and has been hanging out with them since. Somewhat recently, due to an accident during a teleportation experiment by Laddy, she somehow got transported to Ophidian Vale. Now far from home, and in an unfamiliar world, she must try to find a way back...

Abilities/Powers: Flower's most basic ability is to read minds, and can control whether or not she is reading them at the moment. She can also enter dreams and other people's minds. In dreams, she can change the dream at will to be whatever she wants it to be. She can also warp thoughts and memories, though this drains quite a bit of energy. Since she is a changeling, she can shift forms into any form. However, there are limits to this ability. Her primary forms, her fox (main), dragon, and chameleon forms, take very little energy to shift into. Anything else, however, takes a lot of energy; not only to shift into but also to maintain. She also has another ability called "Swift Feet", which allows her to run really, really fast. However, she can not control this ability, and only works about half the time she needs it.

-CrystalDragoness

Name: Crystal Changewing

Age: 15 Years

Gender: Female

Appearance: Crystal is about the size of an adult polar bear compared to a human. Her scales are a bright cyan with a smooth, dark blue underbelly, and her crest is spiky and bright indigo. She has six crystal-like horns that are dark blue. Her eyes are a turquoise blue color. She wears a white necklace with a single gem attached at the front, which is violet. Her wing arm is dark blue, while the membrane is a bright indigo. The color rule with her wings is the same with her fins, which are on her back, tail, ankles, and elbows. She has a pair of thumb-like fingers on the sides of her front paws. Her claws are white and curved, and so are the claws on her wings. The blade on the end of her tail is white and slightly resembles a shark’s.

Personality: Crystal is a kind dragon who loves nature. She loves animals, even the grotesque ones, and is completely vegetarian. She doesn’t jump to conclusions very quickly, and prefers to talk out an argument instead of reverting to bloodshed. Whenever she sees someone being treated unfairly, she jumps in and tries to defend them, preferably with words. She is quite modest, and doesn't care for boasting. Instead, she lets her actions do the talking for her. Sometimes when she’s mad, a small current of purple electricity will start to run down her scales and shock anyone who touches her.

History: At the beginning of the new age, Crystal's egg appeared in Waterfall Forest. Elder Kai found the egg, and took it to Nanny Cheole, who then raised her as her own. When Crystal turned 5, she was sent to the Dragon Dojo, where she learned how to use most of her powers. Later, Elder Kai arrived, and told Crystal that she was the next Shape-shifter. Due to attacks on various dragon cities by Gezooks (which was caused by Zein, an evil avian who was looking for the shape-shifter to use for his own evil purposes), Kai thought it best to send Crystal to Waterfall Forest for her own protection.

Shortly after Crystal's arrival, she met Gem, who became her best friend. One day, Gem decided to try to teach Crystal how to fly, but while doing so fell into a volcano, and landed in a volcanic cavern. Crystal followed Gem into the cavern, only to be captured by an evil and powerful dragon named Demorph. She and Gem escaped, and once more found themselves in the wilderness. Aeron found them, and took them to Elementopia Valley. There, Physdi successfully taught Crystal how to fly.

Later on, Demorph sent his insectoid minions to Elementopia Valley, and a great battle was fought. They barely won, and Crystal and Gem went to Kai's house. Kai sent the two to Oceanshine City (the place where Crystal grew up with Nanny Cheole) to take it back from the Gezooks. After the fight, Crystal revealed to Zein that she was the next Shape-shifter. Afterwards, Crystal and Gem get kidnapped by Zein. In an attempt to escape, Gem blew up Zein's laboratory, and she and Crystal were blown away from the area, high into the sky. Before they hit the ground, however, the Ancient Spirit, Crystal’s creator, rescued them and teleported them to the Isle of Abilities.

There, the Ancient Spirit granted them new abilities, and then they went back to Kai's house. Afterwards, they went to go face Demorph, despite Kai's objections. When Kai found out, he set out to help them, but he arrived too late. Demorph had already given Crystal her darkside, Eclipse. Eclipse killed Demorph, but then tried to kill Gem. Fortunately, Gem was able to get Crystal back to normal again. Afterwards, they all went back to Kai's house. Later on, Zein sends a robotic dragon after Kai. When Crystal goes to rescue Kai, she gets captured by Zein. But then, she uses her lightside, Spirit, to attempt to kill Zein, but only mortally wounds him. Afterwards, the Ancient Spirit shows Crystal and Gem Dragonwood Valley, and that is where they have lived ever since.

However, somewhat recently, while visiting her friend Flower, Laddy was performing a teleportation experiment, but it went horribly wrong. Now she is somehow in Ophidian Valley, far from her home, and she must find a way back...

Abilities/Powers: Crystal’s most famous ability is being able to transform into other creatures and animals at will. Stronger and larger transforms use more energy, while smaller and more basic ones cost less. Like most dragons, Crystal has four elements that she can breathe: Water, Ice, Storm, and Poison. Also, she can turn nearly invisible using camouflage, but this consumes energy as long as she uses it. She also has a strong connection to nature and can talk to animals.

-MaxxToron

Name: Boreas

Age: 900

Gender: male

Appearance: Boreas is a very large dragon, being about 90 feet long and weighing practically 100 tons. His skin is frigid to the touch, and is a deep dark blue. His body is normally covered in icicles, though he never appears to be cold. About 1/3 of his size is his massive whiplike tail, which is always covered in icicles. The tail is tipped with a clear arrowlike spike which is -109 degrees F. Boreas has a long neck which is about ten feet in length and ends at a very large-but-slim head. On the tip of his long snout is a single frosted transparent rhino-like horn which is the same temperature as his tail spike. Boreas' chin is covered in long sharp icicles which hand almost like a beard. His eyes are surrounded by bony plates like a crocodile's, and his scaly eyebrows are covered in icicles. At the spot where Boreas' head connects to his head, there is a frill of eight thick dark purple spines that resemble a triceratops' frill in length and style. Boreas' scales are about the size and shape of a feather, and are hard as steel. They are very cold to the touch, and are slippery, as they are covered in ice. Boreas has a pair of massive wings, though they are normally frozen shut. When he extends his wings (though this is very rare), Boreas has a wingspan or nearly 100 feet. His back feet are built like an elephant's, and the front are built like a bird's claws, with the exception that he has thumbs instead of a back talon. He is bipedal, though normally walks on all fours. His arms are slightly longer than his legs.

Personality: Boreas is a cold individual, boh physically and mentally. He likes to keep to himself, and is rather xenophobic. He normally stays by himself in the frigid north of the Dragon Realm, and is very hostile to outsiders. He believes himself to be the king of the North, and treats it like his kingdom. If anyone tries to hurt his realm, he will risk everything to find them and protect it (I will describe Boreas' territory later). Boreas isn't always a cold monster, though. He can be very gentle and calm towards creatures who live in his territory. He treats them like his children, and takes care of all who inhabit his land. He actually hunts outside of his territory so that he doesn't hurt any of his "people".

History: Boreas wasn't always this cold ruler of the North. He was once a normal dragon. He grew up much farther south in the Ophidian Vale, raised by a pod of blue dragons. He grew up part of a community who loved him very much, until one fateful day. The pod was moving East to avoid the blight of the Shadow. But they didn't move fast enough. The evil monster descended upon the herd, and slew every one of them. Boreas alone was able to escape, and he ran North. For weeks upon weeks he traveled north, away from the Shadow and his victims, barely stopping to eat or rest. Finally, he arrived in a frozen place where the Shadow dared not go due to the frigid cold freezing his wings. Boreas stumbled through the cold, trying to find a home, until he finally collapsed, his inner fire freezing in the frigid weather. By some unknown forces, however, Boreas arose soon after he collapsed. His inner fire had frozen into something terrible and cold, and he had gone from a light blue to a dark almost purple. He no longer felt the stinging cold of the frigid North, and he took an entire island in a frozen lake as his own territory, which he rules over to this day as a fair king.

Abilities/Powers: Boreas is truly the King of the North. He breathes a frigid breath that is -459 degrees fahrenheit, absolute zero. Anything hit by Boreas' icy breath will instantly freeze solid. Boreas possesses incredible strength, and is strong enough to shatter steel with a single swipe of his tail. Speaking of which, his horn and tail spike are very deadly weapons as well. Both are -109 degrees fahrenheit, the temperature of dry ice, meaning that they can distribute freezing cuts which cause an opponent's armor to weaken temporarily or freeze an opponent's blood. Boreas' teeth are also like his horn and tail spike in that they are very cold and can freeze whatever he bites.

However, Boreas has two main weaknesses. However, before I tell you what his weakness is, I will tell you what it is not. Boreas' weakness is not high temperature environments like the desert. This is because Boreas radiates his own cold source which is -346 degrees fahrenheit. The only way that you could melt Boreas is by exposing him to very high heats, for example, a dragon's breath, or the inside of a volcano. Boreas is damaged by dragonbreath the same as any other dragon because of the thin layer of water on his scales, which prevents the fire from melting him to the core. Boreas' main weakness is hat he is practically flightless. Boreas is nearly 100 tons, making him too heavy to fly very far before crashing to the earth. He can run at about 25 miles per hour, but this is only because he is so huge that every step is massive. Secondly, Boreas is drastically weakened by water. You see, the reason that Boreas doesn't melt is that he is covered in a layer of ice and water that absorbs heat, lowering the temperature of flames that hit him. But if Boreas is submerged in hot water, the water layer on his skin will diffuse out, and he will, in effect, melt. However, this requires water that is at least 190 degrees fahrenheit (boiling) and should be higher than that so as to negate Boreas' cold.

Other: Flame

Name: Chris ‘Thresher’
Age: 17
Gender: Male

Appearance: Chris has an extremely unique appearance compared to most dragons, due to the nature of his build. Being bipedal, albeit with a somewhat hunched-over stance due to the size and weight of his wings, Chris is rather tall, being 27’0” from the top of his head to where his feet touch the ground. His tail, which starts thick, but tapers off to a fine point, is about 14’5” feet long by itself, making it about half his height. However, the most noticeable aspect of Thresher’s appearance is his wings, and the fact that he has four of them, rather than two. His wingspan for both pairs of wings is roughly 54’0” feet long. Chris does not have defined front talons, and is therefore considered to have a wyvern or drake body type, although which of the two forms is not well defined.

Thresher boasts a stocky, muscular build, and is rather compact in appearance. Being barrel-chested, with broad shoulders, he has incredible lung and heart capacity, and thick plates of rough skin on his entire torso and back gives the impression that he is wearing armor. Despite this, he appears to have a narrow abdomen, which has five segments, due to rings of leathery armor, similar to those found on his chest. His neck is extremely thick, but somewhat short, and blends almost evenly with his upper body, making an almost diamond-like shape when seen from the side. Chris’ legs are extremely thick and powerful, appearing splayed out, and armored at the upper thighs, knees, and the front of the shins. The feet themselves are vaguely humanoid in shape, but have extremely long talons and toes, along with webbing between them. These toes are often splayed out, much like fish fins. Thresher’s tail appears to be made of overlapping segments, which continue onto his back all the way to his head, one segment between Chris’ shoulder blades having a large, triangular protrusion on it. Chris’ wings in appearance are long and fin-like in shape, more like those of a shark, and arranged in a fashion so that when splayed out they form an X-shape, the lower pair being located almost directly beneath the first. However, these wings’ tips also serve as graspers, the very tips of them having five long, sharp claws that, while somewhat movable, lack dexterity. Thresher’s face appears to be narrow and diamond-shaped, having a narrow, triangular bony crest and dewlap on his lower jaw and face. His teeth are medium-length, and are much like razors. Armor-like plates form circles around his eyes and appear on his face like a helmet. Thresher does not possess scales, and instead has rough, sandpapery skin that is extremely thick, especially on armored parts of his body.

Chris’ main coloration is a dark magenta color, mottled with small flecks of cyan, which fades to a sort of pale bluish-grey on non-armored parts of his body, such as around his abdomen, and on the unarmored parts of his legs. The sharp claws on his feet and wings are a shiny black color. Thresher’s small eyes are a pale yellow color, and are gem-like in appearance, the elliptical pupil being ringed by faint shades of amber.

Personality: Thresher is a relatively simple-minded dragon, easily noted by others as unintelligent, or unable to comprehend more complex subjects. As a result, this often leads to many cases of people joking or teasing him about his lack of knowledge, as well as meaner individuals insulting him by calling him derogatory names. As a result, Chris is generally easily offended, and becomes defensive when laughed at, the only exceptions being when he is trying to tell a joke, or when he is speaking to close friends. Due to his usual lack of comprehension, Chris often ignores common rules of courtesy, not calling people terms such as ‘sir’ or ‘ma’am’, and often having an almost rude pattern of speech. However, Thresher often means no offense by speaking in such a fashion, and often blunders into arguments by accident as a result. When upset, Thresher finds it difficult to think clearly, and often acts on impulse. As a result, in a verbal fight, he typically uses some of the same insults repeatedly, calling people he does not like terms such as shallow or sleazy, and often calling them slugs as well. Despite being physically very strong, Thresher does not like to get involved in physical violence, as a result of guilt from his past as a bully, and reluctance to hurt others. He has no trouble calling people out for their mistakes, however, especially if he does not like them. When around friends, Chris displays a rather mild-mannered temper, being generally very sweet and friendly, as well as protective, not wanting harm to come to them. If he fails to help his companions, Thresher will typically feel guilty or insecure, wondering if they really need him around, although he is quickly reassured most of the time. Chris is sometimes lightly teased, due to his tendency to stop thinking if he gets hungry (Which happens pretty often) and his amazing ability to sleep through anything, even really loud noises. He does not feel offense from this, though, because he finds humor in this. Fiercely loyal, Chris will never betray a friend.

History: Chris was born under unique circumstances, hatching from an egg resting on the ocean floor, which was seemingly abandoned by his parents. Although born already capable of fending for himself, Chris grew up with no help from others, and had little to no education, which did not do his general simple thought process any justice. Upon finally arriving at the island of Hehkahnah, Thresher settled on the northern side of it, where the local animals were too loud at night for the rest of the residents to sleep there, although Chris could easily sleep through it. Despite having a wide berth nobody else wanted to have, Chris would frequently travel to the southern portion of the island to interact with residents. However, due to his strange appearance and lack of education, many of the dragons his age teased him, and as a result, he felt forced to defend himself. Chris became a bully, beating those who so much as made eye contact, although he did not kill anyone. He eventually received the nickname ‘Thresher’ due to his generally isolated location, amazing strength when fighting, as well as his somewhat shark-like appearance. However, upon hurting a friend of Arbora’s, Thresher was later confronted by the young dragoness, and, feeling guilty about harming everyone, and not wanting to do the same to the wyvern, confessed his real feelings, and apologized to everyone, restoring peace to the island. Since then, Chris has been treated with respect, although many are still wary or frightened of him. He now has friends, including Arbora, and has since proved to be extremely loyal to them.

Abilities/Powers: Chris is an extremely powerful dragon, having a good balance of speed and strength, as well as physical assets that make him a dangerous foe. Instead of having armored scales, Chris has rough skin similar to a shark’s, which makes him streamlined, as well as difficult to touch without injury. Although this only applies to dragons with sensitive or soft scales, it applies to any dragon that attempts to bite him. The thick armored plates covering Thresher’s body provide extra protection, resulting in all attacks meant to leave cuts relatively weaker, due to piercing each plate being difficult. In addition to Chris’ incredible defense, he is also very strong in regards to attack. The long, sharp claws that tip his wings are easily used as weapons, and due to his wingspan, and the fact that he has two pairs of muscular, fin-like wings, He is able to reach enemies at an incredible distance, performing multiple attacks at once. He is capable of delivering strong, stabbing blows with his claws, almost like spears. These wings double as shields, being thick, although still functional for flight. Chris is also able to swim blindingly fast, and is also a good flier, although this is often found surprising. As of yet, he does not appear to have any form of breath, possibly as a result of a mutation, or perhaps because his species does not have one, although Chris appears to be the only member of his kind thus far. He is capable of picking up electromagnetic waves, allowing him to effectively detect things, as well as navigate. His eyes, despite being small, are extremely powerful, capable of seeing in extreme darkness, and even picking things out from miles away. Thresher also has a strong sense of smell, making him a good tracker.

-Sairei

Name: Dillusia

Age: 777

Gender: female

Appearance: Dillusia is a dream dragon. She is approximately eight feet long, and four feet high. She is thin and fluid when physical, and she is dark teal in color. Her eyes are varying shades of pink, and she has a single, large set of glamerous gauzy wings that range between a glowing cyan and a dark pink. Her tail ends in a long, blue, feather-like extension, and she has several long feathers atop her head, right above her large cat-like ears.
Her claws are short and sharp.

Personality: Dillusia is a very laid-back dragon, preferring to go with the flow rather than make huge life-changing descisions. She has a very interesting speech pattern, and often falls asleep in strange places. She will ask personal questions without thought of how they will make one feel, as she is not private person and willing to talk to anyone. Despite this, she's not the most outgoing.
She views most events in a dreamlike state, which can get her in trouble because she has a hard time processing danger. It comes with the occupation.
She is a very creative person; artistic and young at heart, she finds something beautiful in everything.

History: Dillusia was of course, born in the dream realm. She assumed her physical form at the age of 100, and thus gained the ability to slip between the Dream Realm and the Vale at will. She finds the physical realm much more entertaining than the fluidity of the Dream Realm, and thus spent most of her time there until the point where she assumed the role of dream-bringer.
After she messed up someone's dreams pretty badly for about six years, someone came along to replace her, and she hasn't been giving dreams since.

Abilities/Powers: She has the mild ability of hypnotism, sometimes causing others to fall asleep where they stand. She also can create minor illusions, resembling dreamscapes or nightmares within a certain radius.
Dillusia can slip between the Dream Realm and the Physical Realm, which is essentially her way of teleportaion. This doesn't work over long distances, perhaps the maximum of fifty feet. It's handy for a quick getaway, as anything short of another dream dragon or a mind flayer can hurt her while within the Dream Realm.
....As a side note, the Dream Realm is another plane of existence within the Physical Realm. It's simply unseen and unfelt until one is asleep. Walking through it is just like walking through the regular realm, only one can't be touched.
Being dream dragon comes with limited mind-flaying abilities. These abilities are especially strong at night, under a starlit sky or a full moon. She can shred someone's mind to bits, reducing them to mindless vegetables.
...Sadly, since she's not very good at it, the effect is usually just one killer headache. Sometimes rage helps her focus, but being of fluid mind is distracting.
Breath weapon? A purplish light that induces sleep, and often leaves the victim with the feeling of having a hangover.

-Maxx Toron

Name: Notus

Age: 300

Gender: female

Appearance: Notus is also known as the "Spirit of the Southern Islands". She is a medium-sized dragon, being about 60 feet long and weighing about a ton. Notus strongly resembles a European Glass Lizard, with some considerable differences. Notus is serpentine in shape, with a thin, snakelike body, and a lizard-like head which cleanly attaches to her body seamlessly. However, unlike the glass lizard, Notus is much smoother. Her scales are smooth like glass (pardon the pun), and are very small, so she seems to not have scales at all. Notus' scales are a peachy color and are smooth to the touch, as well as being very moist. Her eyes are pure white, and are glassed over by cataracts, as Notus is blind. Her mouth seems to be lacking teeth, though she has many thousands of tiny needle-like teeth which line her mouth. On the sides of Notus' head are gills (though she can breathe out of water as well). Notus' tail resembles that of a koi's, and she has a pair of koi-like whiskers. Just above her nose are a set of pits which allow her to sense vibrations.

Personality: Notus is a calm, peaceful, and all-around nice dragon. She is very caring of all creatures, and hates to harm any living thing. She is a pacifist, though she is also a carnivore, choosing to dine on sharks that live in the shallow seas. However, like all good hunters, she never gorges herself on prey, which is why she is so slim, as she barely eats enough to sustain herself. This is because Notus wants to sustain nature as it is, and wishes to keep the balance of her ecosystem.

History: Notus doesn’t have much of a story to tell. She’s never been in any real strife, as she was too sick to really go on any adventures. Notus was born in the ocean, in a cave deep under the sea to a family of sea serpents. When Notus was little, however, she was so adorable that it is said that an old sea witch cursed her. Notus soon went blind, and she began to become very sick. Her parents believed that Notus was going to die, so they left her in a pond on an island to pass away quietly. But somehow, Notus lived, and she returned herself to the sea, where the sea snakes taught her how to hunt and live, until she became too big to be seen as a sea snake and could fend for herself.

Abilities: Notus truly is an interesting dragon. You see, Notus has some of the most powerful healing magic in the Dragon Realm. She can heal any ailment except for death itself. Any and all diseases or injuries that Notus touches are instantly healed. She heals wounds by licking them with her long tongue, which is covered in a special magical secretion in which her healing magic resides. Notus has some other abilities as well. Notus can slither along the ground at about 30 mph, fast enough to catch most running dragons. Her bite is not fatal, as she has no poison or fire breath, but the thousands of needle-like teeth in her mouth hold fast and can be very painful. In the water, Notus can swim faster than any other dragon, and becomes so slippery that she is completely uncatchable. Even when on land, though, Notus must stay near water, as her skin dries out quickly. If Notus’ skin dries out, she becomes very sick and can possibly die. This is why she stays in her shallow sea and never leaves her island home.

Name: Sal

Age: 150

Gender: Male

Appearance: Sal is a rare breed of sea dragon; the Salt Wyvern. Sal is about twenty feet long with a third of that length being his tail and another third being his neck and head. He weighs about 500 pounds. Petrasal’s wingspan is about forty feet. He has no arms, like all wyverns, and uses bat-like claws on his wings to grab things. Sal strongly resembles a very large water bird mixed with a flamingo. He is a hot pink color because of his diet of brine shrimp, and is covered in long, feather-like scales which are pliable. Sal’s legs are long like a flamingo’s (though still covered in pink scales), and end in deadly-looking hook-claw feet like a Utah Raptor’s. His wings are long and bat-like, but are still pink. His tail is long and whip-like, and ends in a very sharp spike which he uses to catch fish. Sal has a body style like a raptor’s, and stands/walks upright, though hunched over. Sal’s head is the most curious part of his body. It is built like a sea gull’s beak, with a long, slim snout which is yellow with a sharp black tip. Sal’s mouth is filled with short-yet-sharp teeth which he uses to crack the shells of mollusks and crustaceans. Hanging off of Sal’s beak are salt crystals resembling a beard, which is where he gets the name “salt wyvern” from. The rest of his head resembled a pteradon’s, as he has a large head crest and large, dinosaur-like eyes.

Personality: Sal is an adventurous, carefree lad. He loves to go on adventures to far-away places, and travels often. He has made himself a sort of mail carrier of the dragon realm, and flies from place to place, exchanging gossip. He can be very nosey because of this, and often butts into other people’s business. He is very knowledgable about the world thanks to his travels, and is the person to go to when you want news or tales of an adventure. He brags often of his voyages, and can be heard many a night around the fire telling stories of him slaying servants of the Shadow and overrunning pirate treasure hoards, though he hasn't a nickel to his name, so we see where that went.

History: Sal was born on the cliffs of the Southern Ocean to a family of salt wyverns. He grew up the runt of a large family, and was often overlooked. When he became an adolescent, he became very angry at the world and violent because he was so often overlooked by his family. He was a rebel, who often fought with other dragons and his family. So, one day, he decided to run away. At about midnight, Sal flew off into the night, following the rivers into the Dragon Realm. For years he traveled along the coast, meeting other dragons and exchanging information. He became a bit of a baron of the coast, and often solved civil disputes between different dragon tribes. Through others’ disputes, Sal began to recognize his own plight in others’, and returned home, where he was welcomed back. He decided to travel for a living shortly after returning home. So, he flew off once more, and has been traveling the Ophidian Vale ever since.

Powers: Sal has some interesting abilities which help him on his adventures. Firstly, Sal’s fire is a special breed, and it is mixed with salt, causing it to turn green. Because of the salt in it, Sal’s fire is very difficult to extinguish; water will not put it out. His fire also sticks to scales like napalm, allowing it to burn through tough scales for long periods of time. His fires burn for hours, and, over time, have the capability to burn through weaker scales. Sal isn’t very strong for a dragon, but, when high enough, he can soar at speeds of nearly 200 miles per hour, allowing him to travel all over the world very quickly. He can fly extremely high in the air, and catches updrafts well. His claws and teeth are very sharp, and can cut through thicker dragon armor, and his pointed beak can bust concrete.

Name: Pinao Nyoka

Age: 100

Gender: male

Appearance: Pinao is what is known as a Black Jungle Wyvern. He is a medium-sized dragon, being about 40 feet long and 20 feet tall, as he is bipedal. About a third of Pinao’s body is his long, serpentine tail. Pinao’s body is serpentine, and is covered in small, round dark olive (almost black) feathers that look like scales. His head is shaped like an emerald tree python’s, and is also covered in feathers. On the top of Pinao’s head is a high crest of scarlet feathers which looks kind of like a mohawk crossed with a rooster’s crest, which folds down flat when he isn’t excited. Pinao’s mouth is wide, and is accented by two large, sharp, pearly fangs which fold to the roof of his mouth when it’s closed or he’s talking. Joka is technically a wyvern, though this is debatable as he has arms, technically speaking. Pinao has a pair of thin arms that end in three-clawed hands, however his arms are conjoined to his wings, meaning that he has both arms and wings in the same structure. Basically, he has wings with an extra bend (the elbow) and hands at the middle tip of them, like the Canopy Dragon from Dragon Cave. Pinao has a pair of legs as well, which are shaped like a velociraptor’s and end in feet with a hook claw, which he uses for catching prey. His legs are also covered in the same dark olive feathers. At the tip of Pinao’s tail, there is a plume of scarlet feathers which are fan shaped and are used in his species’ courtship dances.

Personality: Pinao and jungles wyverns in general are rather hot-headed and full of themselves. They kind of rule over the other creatures in the Southern Islands as a sort of gang. Pinao is like the gang leader, though he’s slightly different. Unlike most pack leaders in the Islands who attack anything that doesn’t bow to them, Pinao is much nicer. He sees himself more as a vigilante or a police officer than a gangster. Normally he has a strong sense of justice, and will protect the weak, though has no love for the strong and rich. Think of him as the dragon Robin Hood; a criminal who brings justice. Though he still isn’t the nicest fellow and has a short fuse, Pinao can be nice and gentle when he feels like it. Pinao, however, has a very large ego. He thinks that he is the most important person in the Ophidian Vale. Insult him and it will be the last thing you ever do. He is a curious wyvern, as well as being very smart and knowledgeable about things in the island. His favorite part of the islands is on Welawai, an island dotted with geysers. This is where his pack is stationed, and where he keeps his cave.

Powers: Pinao is a force to be reckoned with. Pinao by himself is kind of normal and unimpressive. He can fly at about 100 mph, an average dragon speed, and can run about 80 mph on his clawed feet. However, don’t think that you can outrun Pinao. You see, Pinao has a magical ability which allows him to move short distances (max 100 yards) at the speed of sound without becoming injured, though he cannot do this multiple times without resting. Pinao’s fire isn’t that impressive either, but he has a pair of deadly poisonous fangs which can paralyze prey in about one minute. Once bitten by Pinao, the only known cure is Notus’ healing magic or the fruit of the Ola plant, a rare plant thought to be extinct whose fruit can cure any ailment. However, Ola plants haven’t been seen in the Ophidian Vale in centuries, and are thought to be extinct. Pinao has another trait that makes him a powerful and dangerous enemy; he has his own entourage. Pinao controls a pack of about fifteen other Black Jungle Wyverns who follow his every command. The others are unable to fly at supersonic speeds, and their bite isn’t as poisonous, but they’re still very dangerous and adept at fighting. A major issue when fighting any Black Jungle Wyvern is their hook claw; once the hook claw burrows into something’s flesh, it will not let go unless that wyvern releases it.

Other: Flame. I will describe the Black Jungle Wyverns later.

-TheOperator

Name: Harroc (Best button mash ever)

Age: He is presumed to be under a thousand, but the exact age is impossible to determine, as can die and rebirth like that of a Phoenix, and grow back to an adult in a few days.

Gender: Presumed male, although it is impossible to tell. For all they know, 'he' could change to a 'she' at will.

Appearance: Harroc is made of fire and lava. Not like one of those wimpy fire dragons. I mean MADE of molten rock and fire. His species comes from the very center of the planet, the core, where they live out their existence without burning anything. His legs are long and muscular, with light armoring on the thigh area. These legs lead up to a four toed foot with sharp triangular claws which seem to be made of obsidian that regrows like real tissue after it's been broken. His arms are rather long for a dragon, and are tipped with three obsidian claws and and thumb. That's what makes this dragon even more peculiar. It has opposable thumbs and dexterous front limbs that can actually work as hands and arms. It's neck is thick and of middle length, and supports a large head. This head seems to be plated with obsidian on the outside, and the igneous rock has formed several jagged teeth over the skull itself, which seems to have no teeth at all. This creature's remarkable use of igneous rock as armor and weaponry is astounding to say in the least. The head itself is seven percent of it's overall body length. Which brings me to his size. Harroc isn't a massively massive dragon. He is a solid ninety feet long. However, he is easily two hundred tons, being made of solid rock. His tail is long, making up half of the creature's overall length, and the last third of it is burning with flames. The second most noticeable feature of this dragon is its lack of wings. Harroc has no wings, fins, or webs on his body. Nothing that would suggest flight in any way.

He's kinda like a cross between THIS and THIS.

Personality: Curious. The best word to use as a description of his personality. He wants to know why fire burns. He wants to know why he destroys everything he touches, why fire burns. He wants to be able to exist outside of the earth's core without destruction. He's a good soul in an evil body. Sometimes he will even question which side he's on, if he is in this body to be evil and destroy and burn and hurt. He was once told that the road to evil is paved with good intentions, and that's why he hopes he is somewhat good. He doesn't have good or bad intentions for the world. He just wants to know why fire will burn.

History: Very little is known about Harroc's species. However, it is said they they exist deep within the earth, living as far as the core of the planet and living comfortably. It is also said that they only come to the surface through a volcanic eruption, or when a new island is born. It is rare to see one, but the best place to look for one of Harroc's species would be on an island similar to Hawaii.

Abilities/Powers: Harroc here has some very, very defense and offense orientated. His back is covered in crocodilian like armor, which supplies ample protection to anything that's fire proof. Because of it's magma body, it's very hard to injure without actually hurting yourself in the process. Harroc has the ability to ingest anything solid, rocks, trees, meat, plants, dirt, anything, and digest it with no waste. Harroc, like most dragons, has a breath attack, the only difference between his and other dragons is that he doesn't spew fire or ice, but instead has taken it a step farther, and spews molten rock. The downside to this is because it's liquid rock, it's range is low. It also deplete his food storages as he eats rocks. The most astounding ability is the fact that Harroc here CAN fly-ish, despite having no wings. When asked about it, he would say it's more of a really long jump rather than flight. When he needs to get somewhere fast, Harroc will burst into flames (He only does this when 'flying', sure, when fighting his body will grow even hotter and the darker magma on his body will grow even a bright yellow or orange, but he wont burst into flames). These flames are extremely hot, and actually cause him to feel much lower gravity, then he will run, and jump. His body will grow hotter and hotter and while in the air, he will rise higher and higher. He actually looks kinda like a meteorite as this happens. As he grows weary, his temperature will drop and he will descend back to the ground, and will usually crash like said meteorite. This process is very taxing on his body, and doing it often without break or food is not good for him.

-ThePrussianCompy

Name: Thundrus

Age: 679

Gender: Male

Appearance: Thundrus is a fairly average-sized dragon, but with the addition of a longer neck. In fact, his neck is almost serpentine, being thin and flexible. His underbelly is colored dark grey, and his body scales are colored a deep, powerful blue. Along with the deep sea blue coloring, there are grey and white streaks of scales, almost looking like rushing water.
As if to add to that notion, Thundrus’ body is very streamlined, almost as if he was meant for swimming, His tail, unlike most dragons, is very flat and salamander-like, with the exception of several spines coming from the top. His wings are very large, but at the most they can only manage to flap several times in the air before he has to rest, either by gliding in the air or landing. In other words, Thundrus functions best in the water, not in the air.
Thundrus also had several small spines coming from his back and neck, which are covered in Skin, forming a thin sail. Finally, there are two large scales on his long, dinosaur-like head, in between the eyes and the nose. Those two scales, peculiarly, glow in the dark, and change color depending on his mood, or if he’s in pain. So far, not even Thundrus himself could explain this phenomenon. The meaning of each color will be revealed throughout the RP. However, these scales are a liability, for if Thundrus doesn’t control them, it will be harder to sneak.

Thundrus’ eyes are colored red with blue streaks leading towards the pupil. Thundrus also has black stripes on his flattened tail. Thundrus is 45 feet long in total, half of that length being tail.

Personality: Thundrus is a very strange character. On the outside, he seems to be very secretive, especially when it comes to the glowing scales on his head. Even with friends, he doesn’t confide in what they mean. However, Thundrus has issues with controlling his anger. He often speaks out quickly when he’s offended, and sometimes even scratches his opponent to silence him, or her. This has inevitably led to fights, and other dragons have had to separate them. As such, Thundrus has made enemies, although he isn’t disliked by everyone. Thundrus, however, is often very serene around nature, specifically water and oceans.
On the inside, Thundrus is a very troubled individual. One could say that all of this is caused by his head, or rather, what he thinks is in his head. It could be an alternate personality, except it hasn’t made itself known to anyone but Thundrus. The “being” has made itself known as Kehrett.
Thundrus usually imagines Kehrett as an eastern dragon, although he believes that Kehrett could take many forms. Kehrett has appeared early on in Thundrus’ life, first as a curious newcomer, then eventually evolving into an enemy. Kehrett taunts Thundrus regularly, but usually assists Thundrus when his life is threatened. This has caused Thundrus to believe that he has at least some power over Kehrett, for he has realized that Kehrett’s life relies on Thundrus.
Kehrett is an imagined entity, although Thundrus believes otherwise.

History: Thundrus was abandoned by his parents near a riverbank only one month after he hatched. He was able to survive several days on fish that his parents have left for him, but soon ran out. One week without his parents, a starving Thundrus tried to swim across the river to a nearby dragon Clan, which he has been trying desperately to get to but to no avail. He got caught in the river, and was almost swept away by the current, until a passing dragon caught sight of him and pulled him to safety.
Thundrus became a part of the dragon’s Clan, and began to know his savior as his brother. The dragon’s name was Daris, and he was almost completely understanding to Thundrus, and eventually he began to know Thundrus as his own brother, as well. However, despite how well he was treated by the Clan, Thundrus had to deal with an entity.
It was an imagined entity, but Thundrus could not control it nonetheless. On the day he was abandoned, an eastern dragon appeared in his imagination. It introduced itself as Kehrett, and was actually sympathetic to Thundrus, they got along well, but after the first year With Kehrett, things began to go out of control. Kehrett began to annoy Thundrus, and eventually began to toy with his very sanity. Eventually, Thundrus practically excommunicated himself from the Clan. Things continue like this to this day.

Abilities/Powers: Thundrus has a surprisingly powerful bite for such long, thin jaws of course, they helped him much in hunting, and sometimes even in skirmishes with other dragons.
Even though it’s not noticeable, Thundrus’ scales change color when no one is looking. However, they are always blue. If one person stared at Thundrus and blinked continuously, he would notice that the grey and white streaks travelled down his body with each blink, as if it were rushing water.
Thundrus is a great swimmer. While dragons fly above, he can swim just as fast in still water, and even faster is he is swimming down as large river.

Other: Flame

-CrystalDragoness

Name: Danny Stormheart

Age: 17 Years

Gender: Male

Appearance: Danny is about the size of an adult polar bear compared to a human, but larger and more muscular. His scales are dark blue with a plated, cyan underbelly, and his crest contains three large spikes which are light orange. He has a pair of crooked horns that are yellow. His eyes are an emerald-green color. His wing arm is the same as his scale color, while the membrane is light orange. His claws are white and slightly curved, unlike the claws on his wings, which are more like pointed fingers. He has a pair of curved blades on his elbows that are used for climbing and fighting. The arrowhead on the end of his tail is yellow, and his nose horn is white.

Personality: Danny is a heroic dragon with a big ego. He is comical, reckless, and incredibly headstrong. He is somewhat of a show-off and likes to impress others. He may come across as a careless jerk when you first meet him, but this quickly proven to be untrue. Whenever someone is in danger or being threatened, he comes to the rescue, though he usually ends up hurting himself in the process. Despite his reckless nature, he can be really sweet and caring when needed. He hates boredom with a passion and can’t wait in one place for too long.

History: Not much is known about Danny’s past due to it being a rather touchy subject-- only his most trusted friends know about it because they were closely involved. His egg appeared in Stormpeak Grove and was found by a family of eagles, who raised him and cared for him as one of their own. He went on many adventures and made many friends… and enemies. At one point, he mentioned something about being kidnapped by the Dark Master, but this was never explained. His most renowned accomplishment is probably that he and his 6 best friends created Elementopia Valley-- an elemental paradise for dragons of all kinds.

Abilities/Powers: Danny’s most powerful ability is being able to summon a dangerous thunderstorm at will. Not only that, but he can cloak himself in lightning and discharge it through his body. However, this costs a large amount of energy to use. Like most dragons, Danny has four elements that he can breathe: Blue-Fire, Ice, Light, and Storm. He is good at adapting to new climates and can quickly recover from attacks. He is agile and strong, and excellent at hunting. Due to being raised by eagles, he can speak various bird languages.

Locations and Places

The Southern Islands

The Southern islands are a beautiful place filled with magical creatures of all sorts. The islands are located in the shallow seas of the Southern Ocean. They are a very hot and tropical island chain, though the climates will change slightly depending on which island you’re on. There are many, many islands in the Southern Islands, almost too many to count. Most of the islands, however, are very small, and may be about a half a mile long at most, though some can be very large. Most of the islands are covered in thick rainforests, though there are desert islands as well in the Southern Islands, as well as a few mountainous volcanic islands. The seas of the Southern Islands are constantly alive with fantastic coral reefs and fish of millions of different species. Humpback whales are famous for migrating to the Southern Islands once a year to mate and raise their babies in the warm, relatively safe seas. The islands are lead by Notus, the sea serpent.

Not all is perfect in the Southern Islands, however. There are some problems affecting the islands which make some of them bad places to live. Firstly, there’s the gangs. Black Jungle Wyverns, a species of pack-hunting, territorial dragons, have set up their own gangs on certain islands. They treat that island as their own turf, and expect everyone else to bring them food or suffer. Because the Jungle Wyverns are so strong, not many stand up to them, and those who do are put down. Another problem affecting the Islands is climate change. As of recent, more and more smoke have been pouring out of the Southern Islands’ volcanoes, causing the temperature to increase and making more hurricanes strike the islands. Storms come along on an almost monthly basis during the warmer months and destroy entire sections of forests. Nobody knows why the volcanoes are more active all of a sudden, though a few believe that it may have something to do with the reported “magma dragon” sightings on the mainland, though this has yet to be proven. These are some of the larger and more famous islands, as well as some (not all) of the animals that live on them.

Fore: Fore is one of the larger islands in the Southern Islands, and is about 200 miles long, and 100 miles wide. It is oval-shaped with smooth, white beaches dotted with beautiful rock formations made of coral and hardened lava. The island is mostly taken up by dense forests of tropical trees which are inhabited by scores of different species of animals. The island is most well known for its bird population, and has many beautiful species of winged creatures besides dragons. Fore plays host to the Fore River, a large river known for its many species of fish. At the river delta of the Fore River, there is a small bay which is shaped like a bitemark (hence the name Sharkbite Bay). Sharkbite Bay is inhabited by many predatory fish who stay at the river delta and ambush fish who try to leave the river. This bay is Notus’ favorite hunting spot, as she will catch the sharks by surprise when they go to ambush fish.

Animals:

In the jungle: Sun Conure, Star finch, Scarlet Ibis, Screaming Piha, Quaker Parrot, Birds of Paradise, Orange-breasted fig parrot, Harpy eagle, Three-toed sloth, Howler monkey, tapir, Yellow-streaked Lory, Jaguar, Crimson Rosella, Whitehead’s Trogon, anaconda, emerald tree boa, poison dart frogs (several species), blue Iguana

Sharkbite Bay: Tiger Shark, Albacore Tuna, Piraiba, Wandering Albatross, brown pelican, remora, cookie cutter shark, Blue shark, bull shark, giant clam, mussel, Frigatebird, spiny lobster, bull-headed stingray

Welawai: Welawai is a medium-sized island, being about 4 miles long and 3 1/2 miles wide. The island is roughly circular, with rough, rocky waters. The island is mostly sand, though there are a few clumps of tropical jungle here and there. The island is most well known for its geothermal vents and geysers that blast boiling hot water hundreds of feet into the air. This island plays host to the Nyoka Wyvern gang, which is lead by Pinao.

Animals: flying squirrel, flying fox, proboscis monkey, bay cat, Orangutan, Crimson-headed Partridge, Pygmy Ibon, Black-breasted Fruithunter, Mountain Blackeye, two-toed sloth, Bulwer’s Pheasant, Black Oriole, painted treeshrew,

Hehkahnah: Hehkahnah is a medium-sized island that is roughly 50 miles in diameter, and boasts a shape that strongly resembles a dragon's three-toed foot, although its initial shape is round. With a large variety of animal species, more than can be listed, and just as many tropical plants, Hehkahnah is extremely diverse in its flora and fauna. Much of the island is covered in lush green jungles, although further to the south a variety of rocky cliffs, riddled with caves, serves as homes to the small local population of dragons. Due to the bright blue ocean, pure white sands, and general atmosphere, this island is very appealing to most creatures, although few know it exists, and the dragons living there are rather isolated from the outside world. At night, the jungle is extremely loud, due to the animals present, which is even more evident on the northern part of the island, which is largely uninhabited, due to the poor living conditions, and the fact that many dragons find it impossible to sleep. The island also has many undersea caves underneath it, however, they are extremely dangerous, due to having large numbers of toxic sea snakes, as well as jellyfish. The small community of residents is close-knit, and largely peaceful, however, they are known to be extremely vicious in battle when their home is threatened. Likewise, certain birds on the island are said to intimidate outsiders at night, the various birds producing calls that take the forms of terrifying screeches, nasal laughter, as well as sounds that strongly resemble the spoken words, 'Go away', some birds even having the phrase in their name.

Animals: Howler Monkey, Spider Monkey, Aye-Aye Monkey, Bushbaby, Capuchin Monkey, Pouched Rat, Tree Pangolin, Bare-Faced Go-Away-bird, White-bellied Go-Away-bird, screaming Piha Fossa, Ocelot, Ring-Tailed Mongoose, Giant Porcupine, Magpie, Little Shrikethrush, Hooded Pitohui, Banded Sea Krait, Coral Snake, Blister Beetle, Cicada, Hissing Cockroach, Osprey, Pelican, Seagull, Frigatebird, Tropicbird, Sandpiper, Sand Crab, Mole Crab, Sand Flea, etc.

Kinohi: Kinohi is the largest island in the Southern Islands, and is the most important. Kinohi is in the exact center of the Southern Islands, and is a perfect circle, with a diameter of about 300 miles. The beaches of Kinohi are black with volcanic ash, and are very smooth. Kinohi is covered in temperate rainforests where very rare animals live in harmony. The island is covered in giant redwood trees, and are the only place in the Ophidian Vale where they grow. In the very center of Kinohi is the Lake of Origin, a perfectly circular lake where Notus lives. The Lake has many species of rare fish living in its depths despite the fact that the water is warm thanks to geothermal vents. Around the Lake of Origin is a section of tropical jungle where very rare animals thrive.

Animals:
In the redwood forest: Roosevelt Elk, Bald Eagle, Northern Spotted Owl, moose, Snowy Plover, Spirit bear (white black bear), Pacific tree frog, bobcat, grey fox, Varied thrush, chestnut-backed chickadee, grey wolf, winter wren, Steller’s Jay, Condor, blue heron, jaguar, Osprey, western fence lizard, Northern Alligator Lizard, western toad,
In the jungle: Pinta Island Tortoise, Javan Rhino, Tamaraw, Kiwi, Platypus, Anteater, pygmy three-toed sloth, red-crested tree rat, Hainan Gibbon, Northern bald ibis, Roloway monkey, Rio Pescado Stubfoot Toad, Sumatran Tiger,

In the Lake: Angel shark, Wels catfish, Krate, neon tetra, Evarra, Perrito de Parras, yellowfin cutthroat trout, Bostami turtle, Giant Amazon River Turtle, Ash meadows killifish, Alvord Cutthroat trout, Galapagos Damsel, Cyprinus yilongensis, Potosi Pupfish, horseshoe crab, Platypus

Grox, I would like to join this, but I would like to migrate over Nivosus and Tenebris from Imagine Dragons, since I never got to use them. Would it be okay if I altered their sheets and brought them over? Also, what is a Hallow, because I might ask if Nivosus can be one, because she's supposed to be extremely old.

Here's Nivosus.

Ophidian Vale Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ophidian Vale   Ophidian Vale EmptyFri Mar 29, 2013 9:56 pm

Well, here's Tenebris. I'm giving him an adoptive brother named Albus, but Albus is going to be my weakest character, because he's very young, and normally depends on his big brother for protection.

Ophidian Vale Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ophidian Vale   Ophidian Vale EmptySat Mar 30, 2013 1:01 am

Here are my dragons. However, before you read them, I must request that you better describe the Ophidian Vale in the future. Both of my dragons live in places that I am not sure exist in your world (Boreas in a cold northern lake and Notus in a warm southern island chain), however they are both crucial to my dragons' stories, so I did this anyways. If there are any problems, I will fix them.

Don't worry, I already added a desert like the Sahara and a cavern so deep that it is a pitch black abyss.

They're accepted. However you guys need to understand that technical stuff isn't key here. It doesn't matter to me how long the wingspan of your dragon is or how much they weigh or how tall they stand (as long as its not outrageous like skyscraper height, but you know what I mean, Wink )

In fact I'm quite curious to see Sar's sheet, she said she was making one. Her style of dragons is exactly what I mean.

But other than that, really good!

Ophidian Vale Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ophidian Vale   Ophidian Vale EmptySat Mar 30, 2013 1:56 am

I put in the size because it gives an idea of how small or large they are. Obviously, Tenebris is small, and he isn't going to grow any larger, but Albus, his adoptive brother, is going to be extremely young, and may grow bigger or develop new powers as the RP progresses, because he isn't even a teenager.
Okay, here he is.

Name: Albus

Grox, if we don't kow how cold a dragon's breath is or how big they are, how do we know what they look like?

PostSubject: Re: Ophidian Vale   Ophidian Vale EmptySat Mar 30, 2013 2:33 am

Take a look at my sheets for Bella and Tharan.

When I say something is extremely cold, like ice breath, I simply say "ice breathe" and if I have to go even further than that, I use examples like "arctic ice" rather than numbers that confuse a lot of people because some of us do not even know what such numbers represent and how high and low they rank as real heats and coldness. I've never experience -3,600,300 degrees, so I have no idea how that should feel. I don't know what a supernova feels like either, but I know that that is much easier to imagine than 2050303030503053050350305 degrees Fahrenheit

And on height, weight, etc... Height is understandable, but things like weight... Dragons aren't real. How are we supposed to know how much one weighs on average? How am I supposed to tell what's fat and what's slim? If I say something weighs a lot I say:

"He is very plump, having a large round stomach that makes him slower"

If I say something is slim I say:

"She is very lean and slim, having little meat on her bones"

I don't say: "Um, she 30306.2396 etc, etc."

Grox, it's absolute zero. it's that number for a reason. All of Boreas' temperatures have a meaning. His tail/horn is the temperature of dry ice. His core is the temperature of liquid nitrogen. "Arctic cold" is not half as cold as Boreas' breath. There's no way to describe it.

Also, weight-wise, the original dragon was a dinosaur fossil, most likely. So dragons would be about the weight of dinosaurs. I like to be exact. It's just the way I like to be with my sheets. We have two different styles. Let's just coexist.

You understand that I'm not doing your "real dragons" right? This is fantasy, and I will not base these dragons on fossils or any animal that once existed on earth.

And you'll have a very hard time in this RP if you're going to be exact and/or scientific.
