Naw, it's fine. Latin is a dead language yo, nobody really cares a whole lot except for the people who take dead languages far too seriously (those people generally being unlikable in the first place so it's of no consequence).

This debate is far too intense. However I must say that I was going to ask how she got a gun as well, considering Jasmine wasn't even allowed to have throwing stars. While one could counter that by saying she got a combat knife in, a knife doesn't exactly help you if you're not standing right next to your opponent. I think it's rather unfair, but considering the posts have already been made, I won't argue about it. "Fairness"-wise, I flip a coin every time I'm going to use Jasmine's flash precognition. I called it right this time, so whatever Kate does she will be able to see coming and dodge. That's how I said the power worked.

Ok you know what? I have a better idea. Stay tuned folks.

How about Jasmine gets shot through the eye, so we bring up the number of people without depth perception in this RP to 3?

Alright, you guys - Let's put an end to this fapping contest before my headache gets worse. Because it was my own stupidity that allowed this to even start. It's basically Jasmine pulling out out of no acrobatics and Kate trying to dominate the situation.

Alright guys, for here on in, regardless of the reason or how they may have gotten it, guns are forbidden. It's gonna be an automatic no next time a gun gets brought up.

I think banning guns is a bit extreme since this argument could happen with any projectile of similar speed. However, if you feel the need I will gladly abide.

The only reason it even got started was because of a chance that Jasmine could dodge a bullet, or other projectile. Makes no difference. I didn't intend of firing, but her attitude made it hard not to.

Point is; Jasmine got shot and while she may get in trouble I'd like to see how Kate protects herself from getting expelled. Now let's drop the topic.

I'm talking about powers... The argument could have arisen from a number of ranged powers, minus ones like Gabe's that travel to fast to even debate it.

Since I already pointed it out TN, I think that's another issue; how the Hell is Kate going to explain shooting another student without getting expelled? You can't plea self defense when Jasmine basically offered to surrender beforehand and there are witnesses. She only attacked Kate because Kate shot at her. In a court of law, Kate is going to jail for a while no matter what Jasmine did. Of course, I'm assuming the united states does not own this academy, but Kate's going to get in exponentially more trouble than Jasmine is for threatening a stone girl with a knife and throwing a smoke bomb.

They'll both be in serious trouble, Jasmine basically attempted murder and caused mass hysteria-and, presumably, smoke bombs are contraband-and Kate also attempted murder (she wouldn't have a legal defense in even the most radical castle doctrine/stand your ground states).

I'm starting to love this rp, leave for a few hours and someone gets shot, then working out the details later. Darker and edgier than obsidian in a black hole.

Jasmine did more things that weren't as wrong, Kate did one thing that was much worse

I second that. Night, I have no idea what communist country you live in but in America, guns and smoke bombs are two very different things

Hey, Shade. Val shouldn't be able to use clairvoyance on Vespera because of her inner darkness. He could try, but all he'd get is blackness. All she really cares about is him seeing her weaknesses, you can still see her past and the fact she uses shadow powers.
